The themes and history of Noble MUSH are very well thought out. The game is *very* oriented to roleplay, character interaction, politics, plotting, and the pursuit of power (or atleast being in favour of those in power). Those players who prefer hack'n'slash or pure socializing will probably not enjoy Noble MUSH. The vast majority of the action happens in the Imperial city of Shusblem, where a number of noble families plot with and against eachother in a constant battle for power. The last Emperor was very recently assassinated and there is no one single strong claim for his throne, leaving the political arena wide open. In terms of 'rooms' the world is quite small. In terms of potential storylines and intrigues, the world is limitless. Presently the player base is quite small, which does have its advantages and disadvantages. There are many noble families just waiting to be filled out with plotters, coniving spies, spiteful women and ambitious young rakes. Examples include the high noble and political manipulators, the Devgathri, the high noble but dirt poor Dangram, the low noble and filthy rich, mafia-like Thtakryt (the House I belong to, who incidentally need a few more blades and spies), and the eccentric Kovenal. Gelnahen, the Admin of Noble MUSH, is very often about and is quite willing to help those who go through the very thourough but interesting chargen. Oh yes, beware Gelnahen's NPC's. They often try to out-evil the players ;) (and don't forget the Thtakryt)
