Star Trek: Foundations is the first Star Trek-themed game based in the era of the "Enterprise" TV show. Star Trek: Foundations (previously known as bDv) has been in production since 2001 and first opened for players in 2002. In the fall of 2004, it was announced that the game was being redesigned from the ground up in terms of code - a project which would streamline the game and ensure that all aspects worked together.
