Description
Arador is set in Tolkien's Third Age of the Sun, more specifically in 2930?not long before from the events occuring in The Hobbit. This means that Durin's Folk are still in exile, Smaug the Dragon still dwells in the Lonely Mountain, and the Dark Power ever grows in Mirkwood, deep within the Fortress of Dol Guldur where the Necromancer dwells. This allows for RolePlay of various kinds. One may play a Hobbit, a halfling in the isolated countryside of the Shire. Or maybe a fierce Orc or Dwarf, seeking treasure and honor in battle. Or perhaps even an Elf or Human, looking for peace in times of war. The wide range of species grants RolePlaying almost as far as the heart desires, within the theme and timeframe of Tolkien's imagination.

Okay, a quick word of praise for Arador and all of its brilliant staff and players. I first came to Arador at the beginning of May, and I remember being immediately struck by how friendly everyone there was. It wasn’t officially open for RP at the time; nearly all cultures were still being built, and there were few players; but since then, I have seen it grow dramatically. I would recommend Arador to anyone. It’s (still) a really welcoming place; there is the chance to help with things like building and descing, should you wish; there are lots of opportunities for great RP; and there are some really, really amazing people there. As well as the most hilarious and unique OOC conversations I have ever known. ;-) I could go on like this for ages, but pretty sure it's not the best idea ... so, in short, I for one prefer Arador to any other mush I have used before. Please come visit us! I seriously pity all who never discover this place.

I've been playing MUSHes for a few years now, and I believe myself to be a good MUSHer, coder, and so forth. I don't, however, play on many MUSHes. Only ones that really stike me as 'great'. I've been on Arador for a while now. Indeed, I help with the creation of certain areas of it. And I have found it to be, in its relitively short period of being open to the public, great. The staff is more than likely the friendliest I have ever met, and they strive to make the MUSH better for the players, and do. The players are friendly, also, and I find they are pretty much up for RP anytime you are online. All in all, AradorMUSH is a great MUSH, one that I recomend for new MUSHers as well as experienced ones.

I have only been playing on AradorMUSH for about a month. It was my first MUSH. The fact I was so new to MUSHes made me glad that on Arador the people were all really friendly and willing to offer help, be it answering questions or provide plenty of RP. I would recommend Arador MUSH to anyone who likes Tolkien.

Er... First of all, I do not flirt with all the guys, just the cute ones ;) And now, about Arador. Ever since it was created, I have been there, developing, building, RPing and watching the playerbase grow and the game gaining a small but loyal group of regulars of around 20-25 people that log on to AradorMUSH every day at least for a while :) It's a fun place to be at, for me, and I hope that it can become even better with time. Everyone that are interested in the Tolkien The Hobbit theme and roleplaying(note: it is a MUSH not a MUD, so there will be no running around, hacking and slashing), you are all welcomed there! I currently administrate on AradorMUSH and I originally started the place back in the summer of 2002. I'm extremely proud of what it's become, and i've witnessed great things OOCly and ICly. Arador truly is a liberal place for any Tolkien fan. Do yourself a favor and check us out. --Manwe

I've been playing on Arador for a while now, and i've found it to be an extremely fun place to be. It's a must for all tolkien fans! it's full of rgeat roleplayers and great staff, making an incredibly friendly roleplaying environment. It's very loyal to the books, and there are many great oppertunities for roleplayers to develop unique characters in many different cultures. It's great! And Naurnaeth is cute. And she flirts with /everyone/. So if you're a guy, that's another reason to join! ;) Tiny - Troll extraordinaire
