Forty years have passed since the First Cylon War, and for forty years the Twelve Colonies of Kobol have been at relative peace. Mankind has reached its zenith, but as that old saying goes, "The higher one flies, the harder one falls." Thirty-one days before the Fall of Man, the last and newest Mercury-class battlestar is discharged from Spacedock Leonis with her full complement of 2,586 men and women - hardened officers and snot-nosed rookies, career spacehands and recession soldiers. The newly-christened Cerberus is to proceed via hyperlight to the Uram Sector for a month of war games, all for the benefit of the two hundred thirty-seven civilians observers granted unprecedented access by the Admiralty itself. Fleet HQ knows how flighty the Quorum of Twelve can be, and with defense appropriations up for their quadrennial audit and review, it will not brook the prospect of further cuts to its already dwindling budget. And so it is that Cerberus' new CO inaugurates this dog and pony show with no small amount of displeasure. But no matter how irksome the cirumstances of their departure, it is nothing compared to their return... On Batlestar Cerberus, we're planning on an approach to Warday that'll create an experience that goes beyond the expected. We're now open for beta and we're accepting applications for civilian and military PCs alike, no matter the department. We'll also be providing players with some time to get into character before the impending storm.
