Set only a few years following the Patternfall War, Patternfall MUSH is designed as a game of politics, plots, and intrigue. Amber and Chaos are both on the road to recovery following the war's end, and that road is filled with dips and bumps of all sorts. In recent years (or turnings, in Chaos), Swayvill has reached his end as ruler of the Courts of Chaos. Since then, there has been even less stability in the realm than usual. Likewise, Random has abdicated his rule in Amber, leaving the realm of Order seeking even footing as a number of regents take the reigns and are replaced. Corwin has departed again, as have a good many of the Amberite elders, seeking their own goals in undisclosed locations by and large. The children of the Elders move more visibly throughout both realms, taking the more active roles left vacant by their parents. In all, the realms remain much as they always have, though interaction between them has grown much improved from where it began. [[Patternfall MUSH is a game based on Roger Zelazny's series of Amber novels, focusing most heavily on the first five and (at times) utterly ignoring the latter. Features (i.e. characters seen in the novels) are available for play via application to the wizard staff, and kidbit characters can be acquired with the permission of the desired parent (or the wizards). For more information on MUSH policies and character availablilities, please look through our news files on the game.]]
