That all the cosmos revolves around you and your almighty civilization, and the gods fawn upon you. Let me be the first, then, to shatter your illusions of grandeur." "Your world, your kingdom, your ruler; All are insignifigant motes of dust in the wind. Outside your narrow point of view is everything, infinity in all its glory and majesty. The cosmos is infinite in its themes and variations, with space for everything gods or mortals could ever dream of and more. If you have dreamt fondly of it, it is waiting for you out there. If you have seen it only in your worst nightmares, it lurks out there. Infinity is a very large place, and the unwary will disappear between its cracks, unnoticed and unmourned." "Your right to rule means nothing to us. The only power that matters out here on the Planes, little man, is belief. The planes run on belief, and it matters little what you believe in, only that you believe in it. Even the gods know this, and fight their eternal wars of belief on these puny worlds you call home." "I'll enjoy hearing your pleas to a distant god when you arrive in Hell, Lord Inquistor. For your soul will not go to the sweet hereafter your priests promise you, but into my tender mercies." -Valstryanix the Pit Fiend to a clueless lord inquisitor. Planar Pathways is a MUSH that incorporates the past 30 some years of Dungeons and Dragons material and campaign settings into one place. The focus of the MUSH theme is Planescape, providing a means to get to almost anywhere in the D&D multiverse. Nearly anything you can make in D&D is appable at Planar Pathways. Since this is a pure -roleplay MUSH-based enviornment, with unique needs that differ from tabletop, videogames or mush, we have created a simplified (coded) combat system, more similiar to what you'll usually find on mushes, then the complex mechanics of 1st-3rd editions of D&D, while fully incorporating and allowing for players to app almost anything from any edition.
