The decision was made to rebuild the game from the ground up. Currently we are still building, but are structurally sound and are open for RP. Straits of Manzaleh currently offers: - Player-centrific Courier system. Run your own cargo with no ship required. - A turn-based space system. No, not Aspace, S-Pace. Our own homebrew space system. Ever want to attack starships with ground weaponry? Well, this system does it with a load of options to boot. - Sectional Armor System. Yes, now you can wear iron gauntlets and a kevlar vest. Blow off body parts or just get knocked down. - Unique virtual weapon/equipment/medical/repair system. One command runs them all, and to use some of them you'd better have levels high enough to use them or...they don't work. - Skills! Yeah, we broke down and went with skills. As we go, we will be raising the number of skills. Right now we have 30 skills in play. - Our patented Furnace Crafting system. Don't like the choices of equipment on the game? Make your own! - Six species to choose from with four others currently App-only. - Coming soon: Quests! Yup, perform tasks for cash or prizes. - And much, much more.

Caveat: This is more of a sales pitch than review, so be warned. ;) This game is just getting started, so we're having the time to really do it right. Staff are highly concerned with the playerbase; do they have what they need? Are their concerns being met? Is there fairness and accountability for both players and staff? I find that these issues are usually what make or break a game for me; no matter how much I love the theme, if the staff aren't focused on actively keeping the game fair and enjoyable, I'll tend to wander off. A game is only as good as its people; staff and players both, and so far Straights has attracted some really fantastic people in both catagories, to work and play on it. This is Manzaleh's brainchild, and there's a lot of opportunity for player input. The world he's created has room for all kinds of different worlds and all kinds of different characters. The staff is committed to being actively involved with the playerbase, both OOC and IC, and to keep things moving and running smoothly.
