Valinor is a Brazilian roleplay-friendly MUD focused on the Tolkienian legendarium. It is one of the few MUDs in Portuguese and the only Brazilian MUD dedicated exclusively to the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. There is a strict separation between IC and OOC actions and the system is designed to provide a rich roleplay experience for the PCs and enforce a consistent behavior for the NPCs. The server also features a lot of roleplay-related features, as a book writing system, in-character banking, realistic skill system, stable economy, vehicles (chariots, boats), and consistent object handling. Areas (scenarios) are strictly according to the Middle-earth geography and are fully detailed, written for those who love reading (well, that's why we have lots of bookworms in our player base). There are no stock areas. Players are also encouraged to submit roleplay logs of its character's adventures and findings to the website. There are several resources for starting players, an extensive on-line documentation, an accessible web-site, and a specially designed "MUD school". Valinor also has an "aural mode" that ensures that all game information stills available for vision impaired players using screen-readers.
