I have a long history with DBE. I've made friends that I've kept outside of the MUD, I even met my wife there. No kidding, some true once in a lifetime stuff. The game itself really isn't bad or I wouldn't have kept playing it as long as I did. The problem with this MUD, is the admins. All but one of the admins on this MUD know each other in real life and have grown up with each other. There have been other admins that don't fall in this category, but they've been summarily run off by the owner, Ozma. Ozma is a bigoted racist with a short temper and inadequacy issues. I've known this man outside of the MUD, have played multiple games with him, spent many a late night talking on mics about all kinds of things. We had a falling out on another game, Atlas, in which he kicked my wife and I out of our company losing all our progress after I asked him to not insult us by calling us racial slurs and insulting our intelligence. Silly me for thinking he or Ragna could be unbiased and not abuse their admin power in a different game to work out a grudge. Since I started playing DBE again, Ozma went so far as to nerf the race I mained (RIP Truffles) and having his other admins forcing bloodlust on me so that they could pk me in game. The last straw today was when Ragna, Ozma's friend irl who we also played Atlas with, decided to freeze my character for a conversation I had in tells, a private channel. His reasoning? "Atlas all over again". All of these admins have player characters and they're all in the same clan. They punish any newbie unfortunate enough to log in and try to participate in PK, they bend the rules or make new ones whenever it suits them. If you're the type of person that likes to play a game just so you can be a character in some megalomaniac's personal little sandbox, and be subject to his bipolar whims regardless of right or wrong, this is the MUD for you. Just another couple quick notes: If you log in and see a bunch of players, don't be impressed. This MUD has been around for almost 18 years now and botting is completely legal. There are 4-5 "active" players out of the 30-something that are logged in at a time, and now that'll be 2 less since my wife are gone. In fact, seeing that it's been around as long as it has and there are *only* as many players on there as there are considering nobody *ever* logs out so you're seeing their entire pbase every time you type who, that should tell you something in and of itself. There are like 5 newbies that come through that MUD a day. They either farm them for pk rewards or run them off the by...

Summary: 9.5/10 stars! I've been playing DBE for years and it's a lot of fun. You have a TON of race options, all of which are right out of the Dragon Ball Z world. Each race also has a class to pick once you get high enough level, so you'll never be left hungry for character customization! The game has a bunch of quests, and bosses or NPCs who are also right out of the DBZ setting: Beyond Perfect Cell, Frieza, Bojack, BROLY, and more. The mud is continually developed and as of April-May 2019 also just implemented a long list of updates. The mud also has content to reflect the latest anime of the dragon ball series: Dragon Ball Super. Beerus is in the game even! You have more equipment options than you can shake the power pole staff at. There's a ton of stuff to do, come play!
If you are a newbie and you try to get advice here, expect every single last person, from Ozma(The owner) to any other player will always say either explore or read a help file. What is this issue? There are ZERO help files with suggestions on where to level at all. And explore? You can't even tell if you can take a mob or not until you attack it yourself. It's like saying, 'Go out and die a ton of times until you find that one area that MIGHT give alright experience.' My experience with their 'community' was very poor. The Newbie Friendly tag that their listing here has is very much a lie. If you are looking for a better experience starting off, there are plenty of other newbie friendly Dragon Ball games out there. Seriously, do not expect any real help at all, from Ozma to anyone else who plays there. You have been warned.
In my time here on DBE, I have seen the mud evolve into something great. The players who have spent years playing the mud have fully dedicated them selves to it. They give tons of helpful input and help the staff come up with ideas for new zones, code changes. The staff is also beyond dedicated to the mud and helping further it's evolution. They are always seeking the input and thoughts of the players so that they may increase the world. DBE is a massive world. Each planet has it's own quests, shops, guilds and zones to gain experience in. Groups can be and are formed to take on some of the strongest bosses in the game. Recently CASUAL MODE was added in for those who want to have a higher powerlevel and ki level at an earlier rate. Giving them a better look into seeing how things go once you have played and level a non causal character. I personally recommend that if you have not tried out DBE, log on and make a causal character. It gives a new look to things. With zones, items, shops, mobs, and new quests being added randomly you never know what's going to happen!
As a player that has played this game for almost half his life, wait, let's go back and check that again. Yes, that's right, almost half my life. (12 years i've been playing DBE) If that's not any indication as to the worth of the mud, I don't know what could be. The constant weekly updates alone show that the owner continuously wants to improve the mud for his players and that's just coding. The amount of new items, rooms, quests and zones itself being built is impressive in itself. To me DBE also seems to be one of the best muds about taking suggestions from players on how to improve the game as well, the imms are always glad to listen to ideas on how to balance and improve the mud. DBE is definitely one of the most stable community of players/imms that you are going to find in the mudding world. If you want stability and something your time is going to be rewarded for, DBE is a must for you!
Full disclosure, I've played this MUD a very long time and am still a very active player. I wanted to take the time to say that I thoroughly enjoy this MUD to the fullest and recommend it to anybody. I noticed a lot of people were complaining about the owner and non-helpful players, but I have to strongly disagree. The mud has a very active forum for suggestions and even during play, the social channels have always been considered for suggestions and feedback. And a 'Newbie' channel has even been implemented for the veteran players to help out new players. The mud is constantly growing, updates seem to come in by the week. The player base is the most consistent and active I've seen on any DBZ mud, and most MUDs in general. I think a MUD that sees more than 25 or 30 players stick around for nearly 10 years each is saying something in itself. That being said, new players should not get the idea that these veteran players will curve the MUD in a way that you will not be relevant. DBE recently implemented a 'Casual' playing type for new players to learn the MUD and obtain a 'relevant' character quickly, which allows you to participate in A LOT of great end-game content such as boss runs, quests, new areas of the MUD, and obtaining some of the rare equipment. The 'Casual' system is great for learning and getting used to the MUD before venturing in to the traditional playing style that will really allow for a competitive, more challenging experience. I like to point out that DBE is DBZ THEMED, not a DBZ strict world. It is an EVOLUTION based on the ideas of the DBZ world, allowing us to create our own world and enjoy the true MMO feel of the game. DBZ gives us a foundation for the world and characters, and if you decide to participate in role-playing, the 'evolution' allows you to make a path of your own, not having to abide by the story of DBZ. The fighting system is very fun, and at lower levels you may find yourself 1-hitting a NPC or two, but at the higher levels, you find yourself in large, strategic battles against common mobs, boss mobs, and even other players. The PK system is great and offers a lot of rewards and entertainment for participation, and even allows for entire group fights or clan battles if the situation arises. Again, all of these thoughts are coming from an avid player that has had a lot of fun and enjoyment from the game, but I think this is a very short list of the perks found in DBE. Definitely give us a shot if you're looking for a MUD, and if you decide to create a character make sure you let me know (my character is Nail), I'll be glad to welcome you to the game. See you around, Nail
I played this MUD for the longest time, and was quite dedicated. I had amassed a high level and relatively good standing with the playerbase. Some died off; others took their place. The newest wave of players are rude and focus on nothing but elitism and harassment. Nary a day goes by when you are not verbally and personally attacked, both by player-killing and harsh words said on public channels. Case and point; I have been driven to the point of giving away all items and leaving the MUD for good. When I asked the owner of said MUD to delete me, I was given more harsh words and accused of using drugs, suggesting that I must be crazy to want to leave such a wonderful place. The owner possesses a God complex and rewards botters. Botters are people who play the MUD all day through the use of scripts and triggers, and remain unchecked. So if you wish to level, you are competing with automated clients (not players) for MOBs and levels. You will never measure up to the higher level players, as they have the means by which to bot all day and will bully you based on that premise alone. The MUD itself is very inappropriate, with many sexual references and racism rampant. All in all, I would avoid this place at all costs and find a more legitimate MUD in which you can enjoy your time.
Honestly, This mud is very strange. It has a level based system that means very little to your character's advancement. You get a little powerlevel(hp), a little ki(mana) and a single learning point (of which it takes from 15 to 9000 for a skill). It has no autoloot command, or autozenni(gold) command. They also reworked the inventory command and split it into four different commands, but took out the ability to use the old-style inventory. So any time you type I or Inventory a message comes up that says 'The inventory system has been changed, please type help inventory for more information. At lower levels all of your damage is determined by your weapon and you either one shot the mob, or it one shots you. Now this difficulty limits the areas you can kill, unless you find a vendor that sells low priced decent quality weapons in the area you're in or if you've started in one of the few zones that has a newbie quest. The playerbase is over all not very helpful whatsoever. When talking about randomness, they're all over the conversation. But when asking for help not-suprisingly no one says anything. The other strange thing is that most of the playerbase, and the imms are afraid of a TMC reviewer coming in. So they'll be rude in a private channel and someone in a public channel will reprimand them for it (another player). So it is a bit cliquish too. As far as it goes the whole experience is very repetitive, very difficult to start, and has a pretty big learning curve.
I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinions, you cant hate someone for having an opinion, and you most certainly shouldn't hate a MUD because of an awry owner. But the owner has no consideration for anyone, is completely closeminded, and is completely inappropriate. This is one of the very, very rare, very limited and endangered DBZ original CircleMuds, props. But the fighting system is very repetitive, the skills system is too open, and you can smoke pot. Yes, to the stoners out there, that is very cool and great, but what does that have to do with Dragonball Z? Nothing at all. I'd do my best to not get on the owners badside, or else he'll do his best to pick at your nerves until you leave. Its wrong, and its horrible. The ONLY thing that might be SOMEWHAT enjoyable, is the RP. But that couldn't make up for everything else with me.
Playing many years I've spent playing DBE and seen it grow. Through the hundreds of different help files and players of the mud, DBE continues to grow. Its excellent staff and newbie friendly players, all new coming players get lots of help and have all their questions answered in the best of ways. With ever expanding zones and multiple quests players can experience all kinds of fun. The work and detail put into every mob, item, and room description really shows how much the staff cares about the mud. Going from newbie zones to high leveling zones, this is by far one of the best muds around. I’ve spent a great deal of time playing and learning the help files of DBE, and I will continue to do so. This was the very first text based game I’ve ever played. I can only hope that more people come and join the fun and interactive quests of Dragonball Evolution. It’s an outstanding mud and has a Great staff and player base.
Dragonball Evolution is one of the top dbz muds to this date. There are always things being added daily. They have new quests every time I log on and there is always someone around to give you a helping hand. Wheather you like leveling, roleplaying or both there is something for everybody. The players and immortals are the friendliest bunch of folks that I have ever seen which makes this mud a plus for me. I hope you stop by and check out DBE. You wont be disappointed.
The DragonBall Evolution mud, as far as standards go, is the longest reigning DB/Z/GT genre mud existing to date. The immortals are fair, balanced, and mindful of players as far as rule breaking and/or mistakes. They enforce all rules that are created and maintained. They help all newcomers with any problems, but also make sure that they read the helpfiles that are set up to help the newcomers too. If the same question is asked multiple times and the answer is not in the helpfiles they make sure to create one for them. The immortals are also enjoyable and nice as well. They are easy to get along with unless you make them angry (as far as breaking rules). They also create their own players to make sure that there are no bugs or coding problems in the environment to benefit the players exprience. The other players are very nice and make sure they help players as much as possible no matter the situation. They also make sure to report a person when that person is breaking the rules. From personal experience, I have had many people help me out when I asked them to. As far as I feel, I think DragonBall Evolution is a very well balanced and unique mud to be enjoyed by all people that love DB/Z/GT genre muds.
Dragonball evolution is now the longest running dragonball mud online. Not only has it been open for four years, but the plans and goals that have been met are always being put a bar higher to improve the quality of game play and the enviroment in which all players interact. With social and hard working immortals this mud continues to improve day by day confirming why I've been playing since this game opened four years ago. And the reason why I've played so long? Because there is no other mud like it. Even if you hate the dragonball theme there is something here for you, sure it's based off of the DBZ theme but it has ascended to something so much more. I promise your time will not be wasted, just give us an hour of your time it will be worth it, you'll find yourself addicted and ready for more. If you decide to log on, evolution.wolfpaw.net. port: 1874, look for Kami, I'm on most of the time at different hours of the day so feel free to holler and ask for advice and help. I take it upon myself to help new players and make their early stages of game play as easy as I can. I look forward to seeing you log on..until then. I might not be an immortal, but I'm one hell of a player. Kami/Fahl Long Time Player of DBE.
Boring, simple as. I made a character called Rka which i use in EVERY mud i play and was told "its not acceptable"...rubbish
DBE is one of the most advanced DB MUDs online. I love the size of their world, ranging across 7 planets. You will love the amount of races they have, it will keep you busy for a while. Plus there are quests all over the MUD. Imm quests, Quest battles, Mini quests, Questmaster, and Solo quests. DBE also has a nice mix of PK and RP. I am a happy player of DBE until it sadly closes one day in the future.
This is one of the best mud I play. everyone is helpful.
Well, DBE is the first mud I played, and now, after over nearly two years, I'm still there. The people when I first got there were helpful as much as they could, I repay the favor to the new people that come on. Infact, alot of people help everyone, I admit, every mud gets the odd idiot here and there, but they are out weighed by the loyal players. Has great quests, I'm still doing heaps of them. Great zones, mobs, items and, I love the choice of races and the skills that go with them. The immortals are always improving the mud with skills, codes, zones and every little thing to help everyone have as much fun on the game as they can.
Just giving everyone a small update to DBE. We recently got a new website at www.dragonballevolution.com it is still under construction but has a working forums. Recently we've coded in new skills like raise dead, group energy shield and drain. We added more to sparring so it will make you stronger. The transport system was recoded to make your planet travel longer. We've also added multiple zones to all of our planets. If you want to know anymore updates, sign on and type help update.
This mud looked really nice when I started playing it. I couldn't believe the detail to some of the stuff, and the skill list must of had at least 16 skills, that is like a million at least. I started killing stuff, and I gained levels pretty easily, I like that, I can just hack away and watch myself grow instead of waiting on it. I got lost and tried to ask for help, but the regular players just made fun of me. The wizards got in on it too, they were really mean. I really want to play but I don't know if I can deal with the assholes making up the player base. It was really funky too, some of the commands made no sense. But don't ask about them, or else you will get cussed out. I think I will look for a different mud, and anyone else who doesn't want to be asshole bait should too. What a shame...
Dragonball Evolution has been around for 3 wonderful years of my life. I've left DBE a few times to only come back loving every second of gameplay. I even tried playing WoW and I still came back to DBE. This MUD has been my home and will always be my home. DBE supports 17 races, 7 planets, a huge afterlife, thousands of items, around 40 quests, racial bonus system, unique skills, and from what I heard over 10,000 rooms. Even if you don't like DBE, give it a try. A lot of the MUD doesn't even look like something from DBZ. So come and try out DBE and I know will be happy with your choice.
Ignore his review, Mardon was on DBE the other night using the name Valant which he caused non-stop trouble with. He expected everyone to basically bow down for him. Then today he signs on as Mardon talking down all girls who mud. Soon after he calls Lacima (immortal) a monkey and he kept talking back to her. To make it even worse, he said all female characters should hide behind male characters. When confronted and punished, he acted like it was a joke. After claiming a joke, he kept on saying we could punish him all we want, he won't stop. Players who act immature get treated like immature players. Anyways off this subject and on to some new stuff about DBE. We have a new sparring system. Even more upgradeable skills and special skills from transformations. Also more races can absorb certain skills in the mud, for example demons can absorb fire attacks. If you are curious about any new updates in the mud, type help cupdate for the most recent file.
In response to Mardon, who posted a review of Dragonball Evolution moments ago, I felt that I should at least give the other side to this propaganda. Yesterday (Wednesday), he was on our mud under the name Valant, and all he did was cause trouble with Ozma, the owner. Granted, Ozma was slightly.. intoxicated.. And was not acting with his best judgement, but Valant blew the situation hugely out of proportion, going so far as to insult Ozma's way of running the mud, and saying that he was going to "leave for good" to go work on his mud.. Yet lo and behold, he is on again as Mardon, and starting trouble. Not one word was said to him, and Lacima, a player relations immortal, said on OOC that she would like to call someone. Mardon, without provocation, said "I don't want that monkey calling me." Now, to me, that seems like blatant disrespect, calling an immortal on the mud a monkey. Yet when he was muted for this, he complained more when he was unmuted, saying he was muted for no reason. After this, he continued to argue with Lacima, threatening to post a bad review, and just generally attempting to provoke her further. I just felt that public should be informed to the second side of this story, since the review posted was quite one-sided. -- Krono Enforcer/Builder, Dragonball Evolution.
Greetings and Salutations, Well mudders, Its time yet again for another craptastic review. I logged on DBZ Evo a number of days ago mainly from hearing good and positive things about the mud. I was fairly pleased with what I saw and how helpfull the "mortals" were. The mud itself is pretty sound with a number of things to do to take up your time. The players seem rather helpfull when not ignoring everyone to talk to the imms. Then it starts to go downhill.... From what I have seen in the past week from the Imms makes me very very ashamed to call myself an Imm for the way they present and handle themselves with new players on the mud. This is problay the main reason why there pbase is not outstanding... I saw imms cussing people out, punishing people for no reason other then that they thought it was fun, then asked why they did that and or told they shouldnt do that, they then called players names or they bashed on you for knowing what your talking about when you talk about imm etiquete. And nextly I noticed a great deal of favoritisim between Imms and Mortals... If you say something to a mortal that an imm dosnt like? Be prepared to get punished wether or not its in the rules. Its just a shame to see Imms act like little children when they have such a good thing going for them. Perhaps someday when they get all growd up and Mature as well as think about how you should act when you are an Imm then the mud might get a bit better with a slightly bigger pbase... But for now back to being a real imm, that does actuall work, tootles :)
Well, DBE is very unique and I like it. This was my first mud and my only mud.. Due to the fact that I cannot operate on many others.. Due to lack of help files and such.. Or maybe theres no color or the colors are straight up blinding.. But in any sense this is the best MUD I will ever play. The Owner as well as the workers and mortals here are very dedicated and all very loyal to Evo.
DBE is the largest dbz mud in rooms, quests, items and mobs. There are multiple pk zones spread across the 7 planets and full afterlife. The 17 races give you hours and hours of gameplay to experience each one. Roleplay gives your character a storyline and is rewarded weekly. One of the new crazes is the Stagma Cave spider egg hunts. Sign on and get a group to kill for spider eggs and sell them!
Theres not much more that i can say about this mud that has not already been said, This mud is the only one out of all of the muds i have played on, that has managed to keep my attention. The mud has constant challenges, be it roleplaying, leveling, collecting certain items, etc. The mud is being updated non-stop. The immortals put uncountable hours into the mud. They are a perfect example of how an immortal should be. The mud i would have to say is the top mud around. No matter what level the player is there will always be mobs for them to level with. There are always being items created for equipment etc. Zones are always being built. AS i've said the place is amazing. one of the top muds around. Even the people are helpful. If a person joins the mud, they'll more than likely get the help they need when starting from scratch. I could go on forever about how good this mud is. But i haven't the time. I'd give the mud 10/10 Keep it up immortals.
Evolution: The Name says it all. Many MUDs come and go. Some are attempts at hobbies; some last for a few months before fading out and eventually closing and some are truly works of art, built strong and steady over time like an empire of epic proportions. It is these MUDs that we search for. The ones that are here to stay. The ones which provide hours upon hours of addicting entertainment through both role-play and the game itself. Look no further. Ozma has answered your prayers. Dragonball Evolution is not your ordinary everyday MUD. It has "evolved" over the course of two years and eight months, and the experience the game provides is one like no other. Dragonball Evolution offers seventeen playable races including, but not limited to, Nameks, Demons, Humans, Half-Breeds, Majins and Konatsus; just to name a few. Saiyans are also availible but are only offered to those loyal players who have rightfully earned them. Each race is a completely different experience and there is no one "supreme race." Every race is equal and balanced out with both pros and cons. Being a long-time player of DBE, I have seen the game progress extremely. What other MUD can you find coded carnival games such as a ring toss or a squirt gun race, or a multitude of various in-game quests scattered throughout the game universe? How about a completely unique mob/player battle system? Don't know of a place? Well, you're in luck. I happen to know of such a game that offers all this and more. Dragonball Evolution. This MUD is the most expansive I have seen from the Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT based theme MUDs and is the only one I will play. Other MUDs just don't compare. DBE has eight planets, and an afterlife including a Heaven and Hell, spanning a total of over ten-thousand rooms. New zones are being added all the time and on top of that, a new planet is in the developement stages. Each of the areas are very well written and laid out and include many different mobs and shops. Speaking of shops, Dragonball Evolution offers an almost endless amount of eq sets and eq pieces, ranging from unrestricted to minimum level ten-thousand restrict. Almost every race has their own top-end set, which also happen to be colored and written impressively. The possibilites are almost endless here at Dragonball Evolution. Our builders and immortals are always working feverishly to provide you with the best experience possible. The current immortal staff consists of ten individuals who pride themselves in this MUD and their work. Like what you hear so far? Here's the best part. What mud would be complete without role-play? If you thought what I've previously mentioned in this review was the whole cake, you forgot the icing. Dragonball Evolution revolves around roleplay. There are well thought out rules which provide a simulation experience of the Dragonball world. However, our role-play is not the show, based...

I guess I'll speak up from the mortal view on DBE and not just have an immortal speaking out. I happen to be one of the people that have leveled over 30k, I've been on the mud for almost a year now, and I worked for every level I earned. I have usually tried to answer questions of lower levels, but I'll admit I have my days when the incessant questioning gets on my nerves, so I simply point them in the direction of the nearest help file. That's what help files are for, are they not? The immortals took the time and effort to write them, people should at least have the consideration to read them. As far as the typos and things, not everyone is a perfect typist, and even for the most 'perfect' people sometimes there is a run away typo that they just miss. I know I'm guilty of that. But if there is a typo, Krono is right, you have to report it, or it will probably never get noticed. The mud is full of bashing, that is absolutely right. That's going to happen anytime you get so many people in together where most have opposing opinions. It's part of human nature really. Not everyone can be happy, but it does take a strog will to put up with a lot of the things said, it also take a sense of humor, and two firm feet set into reality, where you can comprehend the difference from the computer and real life. Evo happens to be the first mud I have ever played. At first, I hated it but then I got into it and not only found out it is one of the better muds out there, most the people really aren't that bad. If you show the immortals respect, they will give it back gladly. But, just like normal people, they too have bad days, that's another thing to be expected. Ozma has a temper, and can say things but he has also put -alot- of work and time into the mud, and is always trying to make the mortals happy. Most of the immortals are like that, but if you aren't around a lot to see this, you won't. If you only sit there watching the negative, you will never also see the positive. In my opinion, I think Evo is a great mud, we have fun, we argue, just like a big family that you love to hate. The imms have all put a lot of time and effort into making it an enjoyable experience, which I happen to like experiencing. The roleplay is fairly good, the leveling system is tough, but that makes it even more fun. The overall appeal of the mud I believe is outstanding from the other muds I've seen, which most are still stock. The immortals work on constantly building, holding quests or other little games to keep us all happy and they deserve better...

In response to "Gamer Chick's" review about Dragonball Evolution.. Any spelling or grammar errors that might be found (And there can't be that many, I look for them often) should be reported to immortals when they're found. I pay attention, I don't remember anyone reporting any typos.. How can we fix them if you don't let us know they are there? The newbie zones may be slightly difficult to find if you're merely wandering, but if you just type HELP ZONENEWBIE, it gives you exact directions to the newbie zones of each planet. This helpfile is mentioned in HELP NEWBIE, indicating that you may not have read all of the helpfiles, as you are encouraged to do. Also, how is having high leveled players a "flaw", as you say? I don't really see a flaw with several people liking the mud enough to play it long enough to gain that many levels.. Every character that is above level 30,000 has been playing the mud consistently for about a year. Their level is a symbol to their dedication to the mud, not a "flaw." My guess is you found this mud harder to level on than a typical DBX, and as such got annoyed by the higher levels. Many mortals have complimented us on our color choices, and I personally think they're quite excellent. However, if you don't like them, there's a simple command you can type to fix it all. COLOR OFF will remove colors for you, if they're that bad. No one ever said our attitudes were great.. But to be honest, this is NOT a children's game. If you can honestly be offended by some text said over a computer game, perhaps you shouldn't play here. MUDs are made for the SINGULAR purpose that people can act different than they do in real life.. That includes lowering their level of maturity for fun. Again, we've said that if we offend, just tell us and we'll stop.. No one has told us they were offended yet.. So are we supposed to read minds? And if no one helped you as a newbie, it was probably because you bugged them until they did not want to.. I've seen many of our higher level characters help newbies, but they don't do it if someone bugs them for hours on end about giving them equipment.. They way to get helped is to try to level, and be polite with your questions when you have them.. You will get help, if not from the mortals, from one of the immortals.. However, if the answer is plainly in a helpfile, we may be a little frustrated. So before you go bashing our mud, I'd appreciate if you'd check your facts first, so you don't post a review full of fictious material. -- Krono - Enforcer/Builder on Dragonball Evolution.
I've played DB Evo for...well...some time now. While there are some good points, like the eternal battle of good vs. evil in roleplay, as well as the original PVP system, there are several flaws. Spelling and grammar errors abound, hard to find newbie zones on most of the planets, and the fact that a good portion of the characters are over level 30k. There's also blinding ansi at times in the room descriptions, and the most major flaw of all: the attitudes of the Imms AND the players. Vulgarity, racism, sexism, gay-bashing, religion-bashing...you've got it all here. And it's running rampant. You can't get away from it. It's on the MUD-wide channels, and there's hardly ever anyone who actually -will- help you. I've seen plenty of people pick on newbies for little to no reason. It takes a special kind of person - either crazy, stupid, or strong-willed enough to put up with that kind of abuse, to get hooked on Evo. But it is fairly addicting, to some people that is.
DragonBall Evolution is a fun mud in many ways, definately above average, but it has many problems. Whether those problems outweight the positive aspects of the game is up to you, but here's my take on the matter for what it's worth. DBE has numerous ways to level and plenty of areas to level in, even when the mud is crowded. Unfortunately though, the amount of power level, learning points and ki you gain per level is directly related to your strength, wisdom and intelligence stats, which can only be raised by the equipment you wear or tokens that can only be earned through a lot of roleplayering, or bought from other players for a huge amount of money. This means that newbies are doomed to spend thousands of levels getting pathetically low gains unless someone feels sorry for them and gives them equipment to help out. On this note though, there are quite a few players who like to help out newbies, so it's not totally hopeless. There are also many in game mini quests in which decent equipment can be obtained so more experienced players can get equipment for newbies without even having to spend their own money. One of the most entertaining parts of playing DBE though is roleplaying. Players arn't obligated to roleplay and you can enter rp at any point you want, so you don't have to worry about getting killed when your still low level. There are some problems with the current rp system though. For one thing, it's been over a year since the last pwipe so there are many players that are over 10k, 20k, 30k, even as high as 60k levels so rp can be a rather dangerous place and the chances of really catching up are slim for a newbie. The most irritating problem though is many of the rules that govern what can and can't be done in rp are somewhat vague. If something happens that isn't strictly outlined by the given rules and help files, the rp immortal is expected to make a ruling on it which leaves a lot of room for favortism. Not to mention rules can be changed at any time, and unfortunately from what I've seen the imms on DBE arn't in the least shy about changing the rules if it suits their purposes. Many of the imms have their own mortal characters that they roleplay with which obviously gives them the motivation and opportunity to make rulings in favor of their own characters and the players in the clans that their characters own. I've seen examples of this and other forms of favortism myself, but it's to be expected in a mud run by someone in their spare time as a hobby. Though DragonBall Evolution is the best dbz mud I've played, it's not even close to the best mud in general that I've ever played.
I have found myself playing Dragonball Evo so much that if I stopped I am not sure what I would do. When I wake up I jump to the computer and begin to play. I find myself on at times...like now (4:58 am)..wow thas late. I admit I am sleepy but I must play I love it too much. There are several racs to choose from, the zones are too awesome and so many how could someone complain. Also when I started everyone was friendly and when I needed help there were some imms to help. Now I can't believe the size of DBE it's soo huge and there several imms so now I always have help if the help files can't solve the problem. The zones are incredible and now with so many quests to do I can't stop playing. Pking is limited to certain zones that have signs to let you know and rping is welcomed. It is just the all out best.
I have played Dragonball Evolution for almost one year. I have tried other muds since then, and they are nothing compared to this work of entertainment art. And that's exactly what it is. This isn't your typicial, everyday mud. Dragonball Evolution combines the themes of all three dragonball television series with it's own storyline, plot, and ideas. In other words, It's a dragonball like you've never seen before. The roleplaying on the mud is fantastic. There are several plots occuring at once usually and they all intertwine in some way. Clans are formed to attain certain roleplay goals, in which some clans clash; which makes for a very good storyline all the time. There are many rules governing roleplay, but after a while they become second nature. They are fair and keep everything in check. Rewards are also offered for roleplays if they are good enough. If a player roleplays and logs it; they may receive an "Evolution Token", which can be traded in for different items among other stuff. The more the tokens, the better the item. As for the actual game aspect, This mud is unlike any I've ever seen before. There is nothing that is stock. Everything is original; from the mob descriptions, to the unique player-kill fighting system, to the equality of the different races. The descriptions of the rooms compliments the breath-taking ansi coloring, and there are so many rooms, you'll never get bored exploring. The Immortals constantly work day and night; whether by building, enforcing, or coding. They are always helpful and fair and they make sure you're getting the most out of your mudding experience. Ozma, Jugogou, Chubs, and the other Immortals are always improving the already impressive game. But they are not all work, work, work. They also socialize with the players and are really fun and outgoing as well. I think it makes for an even better experience. Not only is it original, creative, and well layed out; but it is a fun and friendly experience as well. New items and ideas are always being added to the mud. The gameplay is intense and addicting. After a few hours of playing you will be hooked. To newbies it may seem intimidating at first, but there are many well written help files to send you in the right direction. This definately is one of the more "newbie friendly" muds out there. I would recommend this mud to anyone who enjoys originality, expansive gameplay, and brillant descriptions and color. Everyone should try this mud at least once. I remember way back when when I was a newbie on the mud. Now, It's like a second home to me; I have made so many friends with the players and immortals. I'm proud to say that I'm a player on Dragonball Evolution. But don't just take my word for it, try it for yourself! I'm sure your experience will be as pleasant as mine. Once you go Evo, you never go back.
Well I may not have checked all the reviews for this mud but I did notice several negative ones and I would just like to say though this may not be my favorite mud on earth it is better then alot of them...and by far better then any DB mud I have played(which all sucked except this one) but then again I havnt played all that many DB muds for that reason =P...however this is a very fun mud with ingame quests and Dball hunts about every 2 weeks and the auction is coded pretty neat..and most important (to me) the IMP is a really cool guy who can amazingly put up with alot of crap and has a really open mind about things..and I cant quite say that about all the players...but I cant say they are all loser dweeb jerks cause they are all pretty helpfull when they can be...except for the few morons and rotten apples but everyone has to have some of them and they arent to bad =P~...so unless you totally hate DB check out this mud..cause its the only DB mud I've found thats worth it.....(NILGIRI!!)
Now since I noticed people don't know how to read correctly....I will make a review about how to get started on my mud. First off....all of you should have read the MOTD when you first entered the mud. The first line on the MOTD tells you to read help newbie and help start. Those 2 help files will give many other help files for you to learn the mud on. Now for your equipment....you can't just sit around recall or the newbie zone and expect the equipment to come to you. You must explore and work your way around the planets. When to comes to leveling, you need to stick in the planet's newbie zone until you feel comformatable enough to go explore....when exploring you may have to ask where to level at or you will have to do a trial by error....this mud is not going to baby you while playing. Now for the typos in help files....if here is a typo in a help file...it should be mentioned over OOC or posted on the forums for the immortals to fix...the talk about a goku typo...I have no idea where that is. But besides that...as you level in this mud...you will find out about quests, each quest offers a different reward for your efforts to finish it. Most quests have a walkthrough on the forums and the other you may have to ask around for help. If you are wondering how to get to the forums...type help forum. If you plan on playing this mud...read the help files mentioned in help newbie and help start, try out random help files, ask for help from Zeveris or another immortal or player, and don't give up. This is not a hard mud...it just requires you to use a few real life skills. Remember...we won't baby you here...
I logged in to check after I read a couple of reviews about this mud. I have spent a few hours playing, checking the help files, checking the description and having an initial grasp about the way the game works. The major flaw I see with it is that the help files are very badly mispelled (not that I am a grammar expert) but even a non-english speaker as myself may point out at least an error per help file. The help files are hard to find, there is no introduction for new players and it is fairly hard to find yourself equipment, actually, other than the initial shop I haven't been able to find ANY equipment at all. Only after I was given by another player some apparently very powerful equipment, I had any chance of leveling at a relative decent speed (judging by the numbers on other people's levels). All in all, the idea may be nice, I haven't had enough time to play and have a real sense of what the game is in the long run, but I can immediately say that for any text game, the first impression is what you see, and if what you see is badly formated (as most of the help files are) and mispelled for the most part, my decision will most probably look somewhere else for a place that has had the delicacy of at least trying to spell their main story names correctly (like Goku -> Gkou, Saiyan -> Sayian etc etc).
LOL. Alright first of all, in response to most of these idiots. I never ever once said EVo was a horrible mud. I complimented it in fact. My only problem is with the cheating imms that control >>RP Another thing, I never once complained about the voiding, it was totaly nessasary, as the action taken by Shinova cheated someone else out of their victory. I however did complain about being robbed of the energy I had charged, and after bending over backwards with Chubs. the rp imm of DBE, I finaly agreed on giving up half of the energy I had charged, because chubs hadn't seen it. I was ok with that, pissed but alright. However for my sticking up for the facts the next day I was helled on an alt. That was enough, I had taken enough of watching the cheating go on and being quiet about it so that the imms could look better to the other players. So I quit. I spoke the truth in my review, Ozma and the other twits just don't happen to grasp or care about the truth, so there. Oh and about Chubs, I never held anything against him, and this shit about me talking bad to him or whatever, I didn't. If I did I apoligise to him. It isn't his fault that Ozma only cares about AEE, and Ozma I used to have respect for you, I still had enough not to ruin your little secret. But whatever, it is your mud, run rp anyway you want, just don't expect everyone to stay quiet while you cheat the whole way. -.-
What can I say... ...This is by far the best Mudd I've ever played and I've played Mudds all over. Dragonball Evolution is "The Godfather" of Mudds. It will "Make you an offer you can't refuse." Either play this wonderful Mudd or waste your experience as a Mudder with a low basic Mudd.
Well, what can you say other than its the elements of Dragonball and the elements of a solid level based mud and a healthy dash of role playing added to the mix. There are 17 races, and yes there are Saiyans as well but they are highly restricted and given to only the best and most dedicated players who have proven they can rp well and mud as good. The races can transform as they power up, recreating such classics as the Super Saiyajin, and Evil form of the Majin, and the Perfect Bio-Android. I'd recommend it for any DB/DBZ/DB: GT fan but would warn you...this is not the series. This is its own universe, with the elements of DB, not the show rehashed over again. When you come to play, do not attempt to take a name with more than one word, do not try to make a name that is a mix of DB names together...just pick a sensible name that you'd see in a decent story. Making the mistake of picking a stupid name might get you thrown off and you'll never get the chance to explore the game... New elements are always being added, and so the game called Evolution is evolving...come and maybe your voice will shape its future...
This is a great mud and the best Dragonball Mud ever made. Only with the exception of a few mud immortals does the mud become sucky. Yet all in all the game has great areas to level. The fighting system i good. And the much continues to evolve just as the name states.
Awesome Mud... lol to tired to write a good one.. But can tell you this... quote on quote from comic book guys from simpsons : Best Dbz Mud ........Ever you nehiborhood friendly Xree
Yeah that was Avino the player who just recently quit because he didn't get his way in RP. Now lets set things straight, the reason Avino isn't happy with RP is because one RP got voided and he to be redone because of a bunch of screw ups that were involved, I just heard multiple stories on what happened. After much talk about the illegal actions that occured in the RP, Chubs decided to void it. Well now the RP had to be redone and the player who was involved "Shinova" did some planning and pulled out a very good plan that killed them both with ease. After that a lot of complaining came from Avino and he then posted on the forums about how horrible of a mud I run, so I posted back with the worst way to tell him off. The players Avino was beat by were in the 5 top strongest in the mud, what do you expect? Well now Avino is never allowed back on DBE because of what he said to me on the forums and I am glad that he isn't coming back, he reminds me of an angry short bald man who hates life. If you played my mud and seen how Avino acted you would understand. Everything that happened or anything we did, he complained about.
DBE is a very nicely put together mud, it is one of the funnest muds I have ever played. It has well thought out zones, quests, items, and stat systems. I play muds to rp, and if you do the same DBE is very rp heavy. Just do not expect it to be fair. The imms of DBE run rp in favor of their nearly all imm clan, and will not blink a eye at altering rules, making heavy handed voidings in their favor, lieing, threatening purge/banning for speaking up, and basicly anything else you could ever think of. They care about one thing, and that is their clan, good roleplaying be damned. So if you want good roleplaying, fair, live or die at the rules roleplaying, look some where else, because DBE isn't going to give it.
I have been playing Dragonball Evolution for a long time now. When I started playing I was hooked. This is by far the best mud I've played; the zones are incredible and so many of them that I myself have not seen them all. THe items are unique and can fit anyones liking. the mobs are all over to level on ranging from newbie to master and they set in their own zone so when a newbie is fighting a mob a strong mob does not attacks them. The colors are by far good, they match descriptions to the dot. The leveling system is really good for low and high levels. The skills you can learn are so many and are different between races. When I play Dragonball Evolution I feel good that I have not wasted my time on some other mud. I recommend this mud all the way.
I find that this mud, from all the others I have played, stands in a class all it's own. It's not overly bright like many others are, and tone down the kiddiness feel to most. It's Immortals, for the most part, work ultra hard on making this the best mud they possibly can. And Ozma is correct, on saying that the player's do influence on how the mud is made. They consider our suggestions, and if they are good enough, put them to work. The mud is massive, and I, even though well versed in knowing the terrain of it, keep finding new area's every other day. Like Berg City, The Hidden City Orenia, and various other places, are well hidden and yield many good things for the players, if ya can find the dang places, lol. And this place is not for the total newb to muds. It is a very advanced type of mud, made for those who have had months experience on others. We do get those that know their way around a mud, and others who just whine and complain that the mud is to hard. Like...Duh. It's not suppose to be easy. I find that working hard for what you get is better than being handed it. That is one of the special qualities I find at DBE. Its challenging, and inviting. But if your the whiney type, stay the f@<k away.
Evo speaks for itself with its detailed describions and its indepth rps. the mini-quests adding not only in char. build up but also in one of the many things you can do that is offered by this mud. Ozma and his staff have made evo and will continue to make this mud great.
Dragonball Evolution is an Awesome MUD. The Immortals are Strict but always fun to talk to and the players are cool. Some have their bad days like us all but they will still help you if they can. The coding is great and the building is awesome. There are a huge arrange of equipment to choose from and the races are great. Roleplay is good and rewarding if you get used to it. Other then that, the only downside is the select few mortals who bitch..but everyone has them
the mud like all muds have some people who will help anyone :) it has some nice equ, plaerbase and does not seem to crash as many out there do. the imms are helpfull nomatter what u ask :)
Dragon ball evolution is the best dbz mud out there hands down. It has tons of zones, tons of races , lots of players to help new players out and new stuff is being added daily. I was hooked after the first time i played.
Host: Ozma.Kyndig.com Port: 1874 WebSite: www.Ozma.kyndig.com DragonBall Evolution is a DBZ-based mud. With its 7000 rooms, stretched out across the 7 massive planets, it is definently, the largest DBZ-based mud to date. RolePlaying is a big deal in this mud. Evo has original and exciting Sagas & storylines, RolePlayers of any lvl and race are welcome to join in theese quests. There is also miniquests, these quests do not envolve roleplaying. To do theese quests talk to a NPC and do his bidding, these quests are fun, challenging, original and rewarding. BlackSmithing is a great way of upgrading eq, or obtaining it. This is the only DBZ-based mud that has blacksmithing. The combat system is better than all DBZ-based mud's... It is completly revolutionary, its harder to fight, you can fly in battle, you can do ki attacks while flying to a person landed, Evo has more skills, damage meter, rage bursts, the use of focus and rage. Also Evo is completly revamping the mud, they copyover atleast once every week, and the new stuff is always great, whether it be new eq, new smithing places, new quests *my favorite :)*, new zones, and sometimes new original skill moves. The zones in the 7000 rooms are all orginal and well detailed, each zone has its own theme, mobs and shops... My favorite zones are Frozen Waste Lands, Time Zone, Babadi's castle, and the Cave of Burning Ice. Theese zones are excellent places to train, this mud does not allow you to pushup spam or shadowbox to gain lvls. Each zones shop goes with the theme, for example, the Time Zone's shop sells: Eternal Time Staff, Divine Time Blade, Sacred Time Sword, and Pure Time Axe. The zones descriptions are original and are perfectly written to make you feel as if you're actually in this place. There is 7 huge planets, you can only reach theese planets by taking the transport, the transport is all original, it's even got a lil picture show thingy. :) The planets are: Konack, Earth, Space, Subzero, Vegeta, Namek, Senkakusha, Arlia. Icers recall to the planet Subzero. Saiyans recall to the planet Vegeta. Truffles recall to the planet Vegeta. Nameks recall to the planet Namek. Konatsus recall to the planet Konack. Half-Breeds recall to the planet Earth. Humans recall to the planet Earth. Androids recall to the planet Earth. Majins recall to the planet Earth. Bio-Androids recall to the planet Earth. Changelings recall to the planet Earth. Mutants recall to the planet Earth. Arlians recall to the planet Arlia. Kaios recall to the planet Senkakusha. RolePlaying on Evo is fun, and most players do it. It is still fun to play even if you never roleplay, roleplaying is completely voulentary... meaning if you don't want to roleplay, you don't have to... Evo will not force you to. You can make up a saga of your own, or do a saga made by the makers... Yes, even the owner and the imm's roleplay often. Roleplaying evo...

I think this counts to one of the bests muds out. I believe it is one of the few true muds out. This mud has been built for easy reading, including multiple colors. I have played a lot of muds but this is by far the best I have come across. I have talk to thr owner and he says he is expandin and working on new zones and other things that will make the mud more fun than it already is.
Well honestly as a brand new player to the dbz style muds i was very enthused to play this mud. And the mud by all means is fantastic, great leveling areas, level system, skills, upgrades etc. I in know way am complaining one bit about those. The biggest problem from my point of view are the players. As with most pk-free-for-all muds ego's are very large. Ive been killed numerous times just for sitting in a room somewhere too long and the level 10k players state that i did something to provoke them. Being level 80 or something i seriously doubt that happened. Many questions go unanswered, the help files are hit and miss for the most part. Most are there but dont cover things as fully as ive seen other places, making it very difficult for me at least to figure out what the heck to do. Yet again the players, too absorbed in their own crap to help out. Ive asked tons of people just to give me a simple explanation on something and they tell me to shove it.. So in all great mud but shitty players. And definitelly not newbie friendly unless you are a complete kissass and tell someone they are a god every two seconds, or happen to find the one or two people that are newbie friendly off the bat. G-Luck
I think that DBE is one of the only true muds out. I choose only two muds, DBE and one other i will not same. I think these reviewers need to shutup and explore DBE more. Thats all I have to say. Keep up the good work Ozma.
I think this mud has become a great mud over the 6-7 months ive been playin here, it has changed from the pwipe that we recently had to an even greater mud, i hope ya'll stop by and check it out sometime, overall its one of the best muds around, newbie friendly and all and great lvling/transformings system,
Ozma I love this MUD even though ive only been playing for about 3 months i am addicted the levelling system and transformations are great. top stuff
I havebeen playing this mud for close to four months, and i have had the privelage of seeing what it was like before the change in the code, and what it was after the change. Honest opinion is thi is the greatest dbz mud you can find...The size is big enough that youll be findng things even when you've played for many many hours. The battle system is my favorite part cause it is much more realistic then before, now you can only hit once or twice each then its the mobs turn, before they would pummel you and most likely kill you in one go...now they cant. The trans are good cause now you have more and the descriptions are more detailed then before in every aspect...in conclusion this mud is S class and as long as ozma and jugogou keep up the good work, i wont ever have to leave.
I have been with DBE for quite a while now. Just recently there was an enormous change in the format of the mud and many new options were added in. Before, the mud was a bit too easy, and plain old boring once you were strong. As with before there is the RP channel for roleplaying with yourself or others with the potential for rewards. There are several races, each with a veriety of skills. Each of the races that have transformations have special descriptions for each form. There are close to 7,000 rooms with a huge number of mobiles and items to make things interesting. There are also several miniquests built into the zones to allow playes to find special EQ, and money. We also have the ability to buy raw materials and have them smithed into weapons or armor, as well as haveing a blacksmith be able to upgrade several of the weapons to higher levels of power. All in all this is a very fun mud with a good IMM staff who cares about the mud greatly. I give DBE a 9.5 out of 10. I have only played one other mud that was better than this, but unlike DBE, that mud desided to get worse instead of better. If you like to mud and you like DBZ, come give us a visit, I bet you'll stay.
Before the pwipe i believed the mud was as perfect as it could possibly be, and me not being with this mud since the begining, i was kinda regretting having a playerwipe. But now that it has happened i am very pleased with the results, every single thing about this mud is sheer perfection, the two main immortals you can thank for this off the charts mud is the very awesome Ozma and jugogou. between Ozma's ideas and his building skills and Jugogou's coding i dought you could find a better mud, so if you are at all interested in playing the best mud around then check out DB: Evolution!!!

I have been playing all kind of different Muds for a little over a year now and this hands down is the best DragonBall Mud you will find out there. From ther character creation to the Attacks you can learn it is very like the actual DBZ. The Tokens they give for a good roleplay is a good base system to enchorage roleplaying, as if you get enough you can buy a shop, or a house, or even custom items and weapons. If you are a Good RPer you get a special character like Goku or Vegeta, or one of the other important characters. To put it short, I have played other DBZ Muds, but this is the Best.
I have only been playing this mud a short time compared to many others 3 motnhs is nothing but from other muds iv seen and this one i can only stand to play this one all others are a magor drag with well over 6000 rooms wheres always someplace you can level on your own with no hassels no mater what level you are the average level at the money is 500 and so beacus of a recent Player Wipe a few months from now the average level will be arround 5k-20k the roleplaying is always fun the token systme is nicely done and the clans are nice too i prefer a loner as no clan fits me but there are several nice ones *CaughDIEFEARLESSCREWCaugh* any way if you like dbz and you like a challange this is the place to get it so i hope you check it out!
DragonBall: Evo, is a MUD, (a MUD is a text game, all text, if you see anypictures, they are made with text, allright now that that is done and all the 8 year olds who can't read good left) their is many DBZ-based MUDs out their, and they all look exactly the same, most even have the same room description in certain area's. That is because the first DBZ-based mud was called DBX, the guy who coded it all was robbed, ppl stole his code and used it as their own, DragonBall: Evolution is the only MUD that has the permission to use the DBX code, why is that? Cause DragonBall: Evo (for future reference DragonBall: Evolution is the same as DBE) is the biggest and best DragonBall based MUD. The game has well over 6000 rooms!, the DBX game had around 1000, and so do all the theifs who stole it. DBE is being updated constantly (which is like 2 times a week) with either new quests, new locations, new mobs (Mobs- slang for monster, NPC.) or my favorite, new items. RolePlaying in this game allows you to win tokens, tokens can be used to purchase things as dumb as senzu beans, to things as cool as your own house, or even a custom weapon *this weapon is the best in the game and you can name yours whatever you want*. Among the 6000 rooms are 6 planets : Konack, Earth, Space *reffered to as the moon since u can walk to the moon from here*, Sub-Zero, Vegeta, and Namek. *note after the player wipe their will be another planet*, Their is a place to pk on each planet, type: help pk, for more info on pking, thier is help files on just about everything in the game. A playerwipe is coming very soon, within the next two weeks, all characters will loose all eq and stats, and start over from level one, they are doing this cause they putting a new better combat system *better meaning better than what all the other DBX games use, also DBE has so much new and different stuff, it isn't even a DBX game no more, that is just they started* DBE has all the moves *many original ones* for the races.... When making your character you can pick your eye color, hair style, hair color, your race : Konastu Icer Half-Breed Namek Saiyan Human Android Demon Majin Arlian Saiba Kaio Changling Mutant Truffle Bio-Android Kanassan Saiyan is unavailbe, if you want to be a pure blooded saiyan then you must earn it, they took it off cause everyone would start off with it *not me I'm a Icer* You must have a good name, that means one word, no DragonBall names like Goku *theese must be earned in roleplaying* and no dumb things like: XXXplayaXXX, 2pur34U, a 1 name thing... allright what else... Communication: To talk to people in the same room as you type SAY, to talk ppl...

I've played plenty of muds before, but evolution is far better than any others i've seen. With the mud being Circlemud-based it is extremely newbie-friendly, while the rp aspect of the mud poses a challenge for those that have been playing for a while. the imms are easy to get along with; not a single one will throw their weight around and mess with you just because they can. they are fair in the decisions they make, as well. the worlds are extremely detailed with more than enough to do to keep you busy, such as mini-quests. with many races to choose from, there is a good variety of characters and abilities for a player to enjoy. the clans add a sense of brotherhood to the mud. i myself do not belong to a clan, but i have seen how clan members take up for each other and how they are loyal to a good leader. i'd recommend this mud to anyone with an interest in the world of dragonball, from beginners to the most advanced mudders.
When I first came here, I was a bit skeptical, to say the least. My first time on, there weren't very many people, so I was thinking the playerbase was low. I came back about a month later and the place was booming. Not only that, but everyone was newbie friendly. I've logged about 5 hours of gameply, and I'm already leveling like crazy. The planets are huge and detailed for every race, and there are miniquests and things like that. The mud is great, the people are friendly... come on down.. if you need it, I'll help you out.
Alright, well it's like this, i came onto this mud like everyone else...i had weak eq and what not...but i strived for better, and now look! i'm a leader of a clan, i got clannies, i got gold, i got eq like crazy. It's a great place to mud. Ozma , Jugs and the rest of the immortal staff know what they are doing. It's a excellent interface, alot of changes are being implimented. it's pkill restricted... (frowns) so you can't kill anyone on sight, but in pkill zones, you can kill, maim and slaughter until the cows come home. (smiles) Also, determination plays a key here. I worked hard to where i am today, This place is excellent. If you like rp you can rp..and if you don't know how and your not on my bad side i'll teach you myself off the books and what not. But rp is excellent with the immies bringing constant sagas. I was fighting vampires in one rp. The immy just came out of the blue and just said, well vampires are gonna invade and things. So in other words, the unpredictability is what makes this mud shine, imms that care but who don't like to be lied too or be dicked around by trouble makers (step in their shoes for a day and you'd hate troublemakers and rulebreakers) The races are mixxed with different strenghts and weaknesses in rp and in pkill in general. The techniques and attacks are there, and have certain ramifications on the user of the technique and to the person on the recieving end of an attack, in rp and pkill. Give this mud a try, don't just log on to start shit and cause trouble, show some respect since the imms have worked long and hard to make this place the way it is. And er, that's it. Foxx Spade
Well first of all hi all this mud is a kickass one i had never played a mud before and i started on this one cuz a friend of mine told me it was kool i have 18 years old and sometimes i decline an offer from my friends to hang out just to play the mud when the mud was down a day i tried a few and there were no math for this i strongly suggest you to try this one theres always something to do level make money or search for items even quests when an imm is in a good mood. The imms in here are super kool and they talk to us all the time you can have conversations with them and all stuff nad the players are the maximun there are clans (evils and goods) even you can make a clan. The quests are very fun and challenging there are trivia quests, dragonball hunt etc. there are always a player on, the avarege its like 15-20 players on. The itms are kool in here and you dont lose them if you die there are a lot a LOT of different itms and even if you play a lot and achive certain requsits you can have a custom item the fighting system is kool and it will be changed soon so says the imms there are a lot of rooms and four planets and there are going to be more soon all of them with areas for all kind of levels from begginers to high levels if youre willing to be a mud player and you want a good mud you should try this one i bet youre like it.
Well? What can I say? This Mud ROCKS. Not only is it the most colorful, exciting and crazy place ever, but The people in it are so very helpful. A few minor glitches and errors happen, but thats all thats bad, the game itself its amazing and the work put into it mustve been so hard, looking at it now.. And with the upcoming pwipe, I have no doubt in my mind this is one of, if no THE best DB Mud out their.
Ok, this is how it goes,I have only been playing this mud for about a month, and i can safely say that i am impressed with every little thing on it. I honestly don't know much about muds, and everything they are supposed to have, but i dont think i want to test any other mud. This mud has made me a DBE freak! I'm glad that i was introduced to the greatest mud ever first;otherwise i would still be searching for something to do. Congrats go out to ozma and his staff of immortals, you guys are a couple of genious's.
ok... Everyone that is looking for a great Dragonball z game.. dont keep searching.. there are no good ones out there other than this one.. Many diff areas to level, The imms are very creative and fair, and Almost everyone, even players are newb friendly. I have mudded on this game for about a year now.. and no other game was fun.. they are all stupid smaug games *shudder* I sugest you come and play.
I have played many dbz muds and I can truthfully say this is the best one ever. I love the race selection and the skills for each race. Having high stats actually matters unlike other dbz muds I played. The space transport system is way cool and easy to use. I tested the new figthing system and pk system...well I can't wait till it is put in. Roleplaying is great here and people roleplay almost all the time. The mud even has its own storyline different from the original dbz theme. Now lets talk about the zones...this is one of the biggest muds I seen. The mud has 5 planets that are extremly big and filled with all types of zones. The mud is so big I heard no one has ever explored it all. Outer space is very big and has all types of secret areas to explore. Each planet has city after city to explore and live in. The items are diverse and with all these items no one could ever collect them all. With the mud being so big...each race starts on their home planet. Even demons start in hell(I love that). Each planet has a newbie zone and newbie shop to start off in. This is the fastest growing mud I know of. Zones are being released all the time. Even as I speak I heard a new city is being worked on. Even though zones are released all the time...they are of best qualilty. I haven't seen one zone I could consider bad building. Well now I can say I am a DBE Addict. DBE is a way of life. Come and join the mud. You will love it if you love dbz.
This mud is a great place. i agree with chiko the players are nice but some need to work on their attitude but who doesnt. and the imms are nice but some need to work on their attitudes too. But what imm doesnt. I have had the privilages of being on all of the muds ozma has had and i think he is a quick to think builder and can outbuild just about anybody. Jugogou is a very quick to think god and a great Coder. They have great quests, and its just a great all around mud. Although im banned from the mud and we have our differences there is one thing we can all agree on. Evolution is the perfect mud. I would encourage anybody who hasnt been to Evo to give it a shot. Who knows what you might find. Angelus
Alright now, lets not start saying people who are writing negative comments about the mud are idiots and what not, people are allowed to have thier own opinions and we should respect that. First off, the Imm's are very nice, but can be irrative at some points, but hey what imms arent? Also its usually our fault the imms get moody. The players are nice but there are afew who need to work on thier manners but again, what mud doesnt have afew bad players. Leveling is for a the lower levels and begins to get harder once you reach the higher levels and makes you explore the mud to find more mobs and not just be stuck in one spot killing the same thing over and over also roleplaying and quests usually keep people busy. We have quests that vary in type(some being quizes, find the item, kill the mob, rp against an evil mob) also some of the quest follow the dbz storyline (i.e. fighting 117,18,19,20 and cell) You also get tokens for doing certain things which allow you to raise stats and make custom eq for yourself. Some of the races are better than others which may cause a bit of overpopulated races. There are many rooms in which you can explore and plenty of quest eq to find. I could go on about the good points about this mud, but i wont. This mud is changing almost every day and almost shouldnt be considered DBX.Also, immy's take time to review the negative posts. They arent evil they just have different opinions and they can give you hints on things you need to work on. You see, in some aspects, Munky is correct. There are plenty of immature, and overly stupid players on Evo. That portion is not in the hands of the owners, though. They can't coast these ignorant little freaks about their lives, teaching them grammar and spelling(Especially Jugogou, he can't spell, anyway). Still, this is a solid MUD with alot of things to offer. There are plenty of rooms, things to do, and other fun junk to keep a high teenager happy for hours. As for the immortals, I only have beef for one named "Sephiroth," but that's for another day. Yes, Jugogou is family, but he actually can do well. Don't gasp about that, I did enough myself. Anyway, for combat, it does get monotonous, but at least the attacks for each race mix it up a bit. Most races('cept the race I picked that said had one, but didn't) have transformations, which up the ante for actually doing all the doldramatic combat. Oh, and as I write this, my character was just illegally PK'd and looted, to no note of the immortals. That ignorance makes me give this mud a 5/10. Thank DC, Ozma.
First off, this is the only DB style mud where the coloring does not annoy the hell out of me. (all other dragonball muds ive ever played have the same annoying pink and blue coloring crap which irritates me) But anyway, ive tried quite a few dragonball muds, and this is by far the best that I have seen. Great code base and options. (if you have played a DB mud before, you will notice that when you learn everything your Learning Points just sit there and rott, on this you can actually exchange for stats or money). The imms are extremely hard working and dedicated. They dont give hand outs and thousands of lvls like the other muds, that may sound like fun... but trust me... being ssj4 in 3 minutes makes it feel like you are not even there. This is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.
(Munky and all other players that agree with him)OK I would like to know why you like to put down my mud? I checked for your name on the mud and you dont exist...so you must use another name. I know for sure you havent explored the mud considering you think its still stock. You need to play the mud and explore before you talk trash about it. I know you are one of those people who hate dbx or think all dbx muds are stock. Well you are wrong always will be. My mud has gone beyond what any other dbx mud has. Its over 6000 rooms of all new zones. But i doubt you even looked around. You signed on and said ohh its stock...lets go post a bad review about this mud so less players will come. I am really getting sick of people like you putting down my mud. Do you see me coming on any muds you play and dissing them or posting bad reviews about them??? NO! I dont do that....but you have to just to piss me off. Do you know what i think about baku and kastion????? They did a poor job on the dbx code. The barely changed it from circle. It was filed with bugs and errors. All the zones sucked ass and could have been built better by a 8 year old. I had to go and redo all those poorly done zones. Plus we had to remove all the medieval stock zones. We removed over 2000 rooms. As of now i would not consider this mud DBX. If cypress can call his dbx mud...DBI...then i can say my mud is another codebase. My mud is alot more advanced than DBI. I will only give credit to the creators of Diku and Circle. These are all my thoughts on your bad review. Respond if you wish. Good bye Ozma
The review posted just before this one reflects the maturity level of the average player of this MUD. If you're looking for a MUD with original, intelligent roleplay and a decent combat system, look elsewhere; you won't find it here. There are few "improvements" to Kastion's old DBX code, and many of Kastion's and Baku's old areas are still in the game. Even worse, the MUD's owners don't even have the common decency to give credit to the original creator, Kastion, on the MUD's title screen. I have to echo Kenjuro and give this MUD two thumbs DOWN.
this mud if by far THE BEST DBX mud out there....well i cant even call it dbx any more it has evolved itnto much more..(to the jack ass who wrote the negitive review did you even play the mud you dumb fuck).. it was a very nice RP system altho some ppl RP like a crack whore who need there fix(you know who you are) thery are easly avoided..as for the lvling system its the best and fairest ive ever seen altho some raqces are a little underpowered they haver there own skills to make up for it..... the imms can be kinda moody and irritabvle at times but look at the shit they put up with (cough.cuss/marcusscough) but they are fair :' so in conclusion it is the best mud ive ever played ..... please forgive all the typoes my backspace key doesnt work
Ya Bastard! Unlike most muds, this one hasn't died after a month -_-. We are totally revamped with a new look and dedicated players who have been with us from the start. The enviornment is friendly and helpful though we all have our moods, bad days are bad days. Roleplaying is an on and off kind of thing, ranging from all-day roleplaying to none at all. Roleplaying is a means to receive prizes, levels, and if you do good, you might roleplay with an imm one day, and there is where the real bonuses are(ask Thelgaar). A major thing not seen on most DB muds is stats, broken or removed, they never seem to affect anything. This mud revolves around stats at the early levels, changing your gains from 6 to 12 to 18 hp, charisma affecting aggressive mobs time to attack you, and so on. With over 5k rooms of originality(bah at the muds who always say their world is all original when it is white and stock :p), it is a large and always being built on mud, we have been around for 8 months, and players have been with us since we opened, obviosuly they enjoy it, so if ya want to see what keeps them playing, give us a try!
I am one to state all the facts. This is a great mud. The immortals, although moody from time to time due to childish acts by some players, work very hard to keep thing running smooth and keep players happy. The areas are lovely in color and large in size, and ar growing all the time. The players in general are very helpful save a few "bad eggs" and are almost always willing to help a person in need. The code is good and always being improved upon. though i personally don't care for the current battle system it also has it's benefits. Hmmmm, what else to say... I guess that about covers it for now.
As the owner of DB Evolution I am totally sick of reviews on my mud stating it is just another DBX. Actually I hate the DBX codebase. That's why I revamped every bit of this codebase and made it not DBX. My mud is far from DBX and you don't sit in a room all day and do pushups. There are many options how to level your character like mob training, sparring, roleplaying, and quests. The statement about no IC playing is totally false. My mud is a RP mud. Players RP for their skills and powers and reputations. Calling this mud boring is a joke. New things happen at the mud everyday such as bounties, quests, opening of a new zone, scavenger hunts, clan wars and RPs. So you believe the previous review it is your lose. It seems I get a review like that on every site I advertise my mud on. Anyways give my mud a chance its not DBX...been open for over 8 months...I would say its a totally new codebase now. Thanks Ozma
Yet another Dragonball MUD based on Kastion's DragonBall X MUD. If you're unfamiliar with this MUD and its numerous predecessors, be prepared for the most boring, monotonous gameplay that you'll ever see in a mud. Players will spend countless hours "training" (which mostly consists of pushups and situps performed in gravity chambers and/or jogging, both of which will gain you experience points and raise certain attributes) with relatively little IC interaction. If you've played any other Circle-based DragonBall MUD, chances are you won't find anything new here. If you haven't, by all means give this one a whirl. Unless you're a die-hard DragonBall Z fan desperately looking for a DBZ mud, I'm betting you won't stay long.
