NarutoMUD was born out of a passion for Naruto and lack of quality anime or Naruto themed MUDs. With years of hard work, from many talented people, it is our pleasure to let players enjoy this labor of love. We welcome Naruto fans, and non-fans, to enjoy playing in our immersive world. We’ve painstaking constructed a world which feels like a digital slice of Japan. We’ve always ensured our game has the depth required to be in the Naruto theme, and do justice to a genre of MUD which typically is scoffed at. It would be our honor for you to try us out and see for yourself, we strive for an “Everything must be cool” approach, and I think you’ll see why when you log in.

The world of NarutoMUD has been created to be accurate to the Naruto world. We strive to keep an “everything must be cool” feel to the game. From the time a player logs in, to the time they log out, we want the player to feel like they’ve had a good time. Despite being an anime theme, we try not to have many of the annoying things that keep most traditional MUDers away, such as a poor staff, flagrant typos, poor grammar and cheesy copy-and-paste skills. Like other anime genres, such as Dragonball Z (DBZ), Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha or Bleach, Naruto is filled with a lot of excitement plus ninja-oriented action. We feel we capture a lot of that feel and a Japanese style feel as well. We use a strict naming convention so that we don’t get names like “Larry” or “Bob”, you’ll feel a strong sense of being in an immersive anime world, with over-the-top style skills and a strategy type feel. You may find that we have a bit of a learning curve, but we have a dedicated core of players who love the MUD, and I’m sure you will to. We’d be happy to have you join our player base!
