Storms of Time is a long time merc derived mud. The gameplay is unique and well balanced. Though hack and slash orientated it offers many areas, each area contains high quality mob prog quests to make them interesting. Players can build houses which can be turned into clans, all without needing assistance from the admins, the game pretty much runs itself. With 120K lines of code there are many other features to keep things interesting. The atmosphere is layed back and most players are in their mid twenties. [4]

Tried logging on to create a char, but apparently they are have some technical problems, and commands are not working correctly. Desert Mouse was kind enough to message me an apology, so I am assuming he is working to fix whatever is wrong. I plan on checking back periodically to see if the MUD comes back up, till then, I will keep looking...

Storms of Time is an excellent game and the people on the game are very friendly and love to help newbies. The website itself before connecting- Has tons of information on gods, clans, and even quest help! I am very addicted to this game now that I have joined.

Storms of Time is very user friendly, with awesome character interactions. It has a PK option, for people who like to PK. Levelling is difficult alone once you reach level 25 or so, but most people are willing to group and help out. It has a lot of different areas, so many that in the year I've been playing, I still haven't explored them all. It's very newbie friendly, with great help files and the Admin are very helpful. Multi-char is unlimited, with the only restriction being you can only have 5 chars online at one time. Reaching level 95 gives your char the option to reincarnate and try a new race/class. Reincarnating makes levelling a little harder, but again, people are always willing to help. With all the races, classes, clans, guilds, gods and monsters, there's something for everyone on Storms of Time. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
