I've been playing mud since 1992. Been in Mystic Adventure, Carrion Fields, Darkmists. I stopped the muds above just because of the quality of the players and immortals. Outlands offers experienced roleplaying players (which play DND also over 10 years) experienced immortals. Its satisfying to play with them. New skills spells, areas, new everything. Based on Tartarus Code. They offer many things that you cannot find in any other mud. The ideas are based on Planescape setting. They are building a new website which I heard would be a cool one.. Grimn Muscler
I've been playing Outlands for over a year, since from it's early stages of development. In that times there were only 5-6 average players online, lots of stock areas and a buggy Rom derivative code. Why was I playing it ? Because the immortals were so friendly and they were promising new spells, skills, quests, areas and other stuff. Now, I see about 15 players average online, lots of new areas, ingeniously created quests, more mature role playing enviroment. As I heard from the immortals, the great city of Sigil is about to be completed with all faction houses, wards, (a lady that really mazes) with 2000+ rooms. You can be a weapon specialist, make a career in the Hunters Guild, join factions, play an Aasimar Paladin or an insidious Tiefling. But unfortunately, no one can be told what the Outlands is, you have to see it for yourself.
Yeah, Outlands rocks. It's much like DarkMists, another top RP/PK mud. There are a lot of races/ classes to choose from, and are currently adding Necromancer subclasses. Try it, you'll not regret.
