I used to play zebedee a long time ago and have read some of the reviews on here and i can confirm the reviews about the admin (Tamsyn) favouring his friends in many ways. Gods have been caught cheating by adding rooms secret rooms in areas they coded which heal their own players for free and recieve no punishment whatsoever. i have broken the rules on this mud i must admit but was always punished, usually by having characters deleted. i have been banned from classes and had total suspensions for weeks at a time. So Tamsyn is prepared to hand out punishments but only to people he feels like. i have never had a god on this game (i can write code which counted against me) and any rule breaking i did was exploiting bugs in the code. So in summary if you exploit bugs in the frankly terrible code expect to have your highest characters deleted (even if they were not the character exploiting the bug) or simply suck up to tamsyn get yourself a god character and code as many cheats into the game as you wish safe in the knowledge no punishment will be coming your way. I have not played this particular mud in a long time but i'm afraid i could not read the excuses from MUD admin that all bad reviews are from recently booted players. I stopped playing myself many years ago of my own accord, as the policing of this mud is totally biased in favour of Tamsyns friends. I never noticed any favouritism to british players as being british myself i had many characters banned. In summary if you are a friend of Tony Lawson(Tamsyn) then play this game and you will enjoy it, if you are not and are willing to argue against unjust decisions they i'm afraid you should find another mud.
zebedee is so fun to play you can get obsessted about it i love it i think it is the best online game ever you should try it lots of fun i tell you
Zebedee is a great mud, medium amount of players, and they are always helpful :-) lots of mobs, and a great level system, there isnt much pking but there is some so be careful, newbies 1-5 arent allowed to be attacked so you can start up without worrying about being pked :-). Zeb, its fun, its addicting, and has nice players stop by and chill!
Personally I think Zebedee is a great mud. I've played a few other muds, not many; but every mud I've played there always seamed to be something lacking. Sure Zebedee has it's bugs, but what mud dosn't, the point is that the administrators are making attempts to fix these bugs. If you are looking for a friendly mud with a nice sense of humor about it, than I think you will like Zebedee. The people are nice for the most part, of course there are a few who can really piss you off (there again, same with any online game) I guess that is all I have to say, come check us out, I hope to see you there.
As ever we welcome any new players on Zeb, *especially* Americans (we have Americans coders, also Dutch, as well as British). Zeb has an excellent newbie system - dedicated newbie helper players and an automated system too. Come try us out! I see we have another "review" from the same banned player. I'm not going to stoop to his level and even bother listing the glaring lies in his account, but I will point out that if he thought he mud was so bad, you've gotta wonder why it means so much to him that he continues to post notes on here several months after being chucked off for harrassment and cheating. And that of course is on top of him getting existing players to try to persuade me to let him back on. But as ever the best way to judge us is to visit for yourselves :)
Ever felt like you needed something more in life? Like maybe a bit of childishness? Or perhaps you just wanted to see exactly what people are talking about when they refer to "child-like violative twits." Well let me tell you. You've found your mud. With a myriad of issues that no one actually ever addresses(positions on the legend ladder are occupied in massive numbers by players who have long since been purged, et cetera), not to mention vile and crude player aspect systems(players are praised for violating game rules, but scorned for following and enforcing them), and all that rounded out with a supremacist feel from the administration(If you're not british, consider yourself instantly on his shit-list), it's no wonder that this MUD can only maintain about 2 or 3 players online at a time anymore. In fact, Tamsyn, the administrator of the MUD itself chose to keep a player with a rampant history of bug abuse, sexual harassment, childish bugging, and a whole mess of other offenses, over two of the best players the MUD used to know. One of them was a god, and was responsible for some of the more sensible choices that took place in the top end of things, and another was one of the more revered players, having a history of actually playing legitimately, and being friendly to just about anyone. Both players were highly respected all over the MUD, while the player Tamsyn chose over them(they left when they found that the player wasnt to be removed), was pretty much looked upon as scum all over. At times that he logged on, the entire mud would break into jeering against this player, with good reason. So that makes up for a goodly portion of the mud's mistakes, but, Oh! Lets not forget good old Savoy. Genius that he is, Tamsyn put him in charge of making classes. First class he took charge of, he completely destroyed. Totally unbalanced, and the ability to destroy anything that moved in a second or two. It took approximately 2 years to get him to knock this character class back into a semi-sensible level, and it's still not there yet. So he gets put in charge of another class, the Alchemist. STILL viewed as probably the most insanely overpowered class in the game, it's commonly frowned upon to even PLAY this class, seeing as that it becomes pointless and lacks charm in any way to do so. And from what the testers of the newer class had said as of last december, we're not surprised at all. Of course, saying that Savoy uses unbalanced methods in making his characters is widely frowned upon in the MUD, as Savoy has no problem "bugging" you, a process involving him seeing whatever you see on your screen in the mud, twisting what you say, and reporting it to the head administrator as harassment. And Tamsyn wonders why people dont chat with him much. One last thing on that, method...

Ever wanted to be a thief skulking in the shadows waiting to rob the rich of the gold sagging in their pockets? a warrior of great renown, slaying mighty beasts? A fearsome mage with powerful spells at her fingertips? A dark necromancer whose undead minions spread terror though the land? A gentle cleric fighting the evil that pervades a rich and varied world? A great deal of love and care has gone into this mud over the last decade or so, it has come a long long way from the original source code and is growing still. As hinted at above their are many classes to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses to be explored. The world of Zebedee is around 3000 rooms ranging from steaming jungles to icebound mountain tops. You will find yourself battling everything from lowly creatures to giant monsters spanning several rooms even other players! Yes player killing is allowed in Zebedee! A balanced restricted system is in place to allow players to settle their differences in combat, although the prison isle has become popular of late for player vs player combat! It should also be noted that you can choose not take part in the pk system, making the world a little safer for you. For those new to mudding there is an advanced newbie helper system, several areas designed to help you get to grips with how the game works and with many players happy to lend a hand when needed getting started couldnt be easier! Roleplaying is encouraged, but not mandatory. If you are interested there are people who will help you get into character and learn the ropes, or you can just be yourself! If you are looking for a game to challenge you with puzzles and quests, to slay a variety of monsters or just somewhere to act out a character then log in and enter the wonderous world of Zebedee.
Funny how players who are kicked off the game for breaking rules always post on here afterwards...this of course is the same player who was begging to be godded and praising the mud. Anyway: My own review of a new addition: Enigma has just converted the defect reporting system to be web-based (sourced directly from the mud, in real time). This is a top quality advancement for any mud and makes the system a joy to use! Top marks :)
If you like getting caught up in childish bickering, constant rules violation, subjective application to the rules, and poorly coded constant need for maintainence muds, than this is the mud for you. Everyone's favorite god Tamsyn took the mud over from another person, poorly, I might add, and hasnt once failed the description of thoroughly subjective. The rules apply to who he wants them to. But if you want to get on his good side, then here's a tip. First step. Distribute information about the quests freely. Second step. Tell newbies exactly the wrong ways to raise their characters. Third step. Violate every bug you potentially can. Fourth step. Treat every other player as an inferior, and make constant sexually harassing moves towards any female character on the game. With these handy dandy tips, you're SURE to get on Tamsyn's mest side in no time flat. However, if you prefer common sense, equality, and a NO BULLSHIT environment, then this is obviously not the mud for you.
Well what can I say. I've been associated with Zebedee since 1997. In all that time i've tried out new and different muds, but always find I come back to this one. I find the sociable atomsphere quite thrilling. The player base had changed alot over the years. When I 1st started the mud was mainly played by University Students and adults. But as the years have gone on, the player base has become younger and younger. I'm sad to hear about people being put off the mud for one reason or another. It really is a good place, the events described rarely happen. they have just logged on at an unfortunate time. And to be quite honest those recent occasions are nothing to what happen when the mud was solely university students. Also some people, like myself, actually roleplay their characters and you find most arguments are usually roleplay related. I've seen this mud change and grow over the years, I've seen playerkilling at its heights in 1997-98 and now in its low. To be honest no matter how many times i leavethe mud to take a break I always come back. Just because the people there are just so great to know.
This is a truly awesome mud with very good, friendly characters.
last email was slightly incorrect, the correct one is attached, thank you colin_sanderson45@yahoo.co.uk
I have played this mud for a few weeks and have to agree with a lot said about it, good and bad. There are some super players and gods, and like most other muds there are some argumentative almost bitter players on there to. I have found Tamsyn to be an excellent admin and if anything a little to easy going on the mindless minority, certainly the constant talk of sex by 1 or 2 of these players shouldnt be tolerated as it can cause great offence whethere deliberate or otherwise, I for one certainly do not like being hassled in this way no matter how it is intended. If this sort of thing can be cut out then i'd say give this MUD a try, its pretty good and most players are helpful. The guilds are quite interesting, theres 7 in total and quite different so theres a lot to look into, some of the areas are very well put together and quite enjoyable. If I had to give the MUD a score from 1 - 10 i'd give it 7, i'd score it a lot higher if the minority who use the game as a cyber sex site would be either removed or punished.
Zebedee must be one of the most underrated muds around. The mud itself should certainly get a medal for cloak & dagger, not to mention for all the great and dry humour around. I don't know why they do it, but they really make the mud look dead simple. Like ABC...nothing to it. And there really is nothing to it....in the beginning. Every level you advance this mud becomes progressively more interesting. This isn't just a mud with a 100 room area with 50 random 'orc' monsters roaming around in them .... every single room in this mud is unique. And what's worse..I've seen monsters spanning SEVERAL rooms!!! *gasp* Trust me...don't go there. All in all, this mud is a little gem. All you have to to is polish it. Harry
This is a superb mud, and from talking to the players on it, one that you can't resist coming back to even if you get really high and leave to try a different one. The great thing about it is that its dead simple to start as it looks like a bog standard LP to begin with, but when you realise how many items and spells there are with some really cool effects that I haven't seen elsewhere then you realise there's loads to find and you're not gonna get bored. The necro class is amazing, you actually have loads of monsters (like over 20) following and fighting for you and some cool chilling msgs The alchemist class is a secret class that you can't just decide to be, you have to do a quest. Then you have to get spell components and discover spells from recipies, that's superb, I've never seen the effort put into a class elsewhere. To top it all the pk is fair, you can attack people but you need skill to kill someone and if you have enough skill you can escape an attack. You can practice in the Arena thing they have got, it's huge, about 300 rooms apparently with loads of different modes. I'd recommend this to anyone, you'll never leave!
I tried to play it for a few weeks, to be honest I found it overly simple with little to offer the more mature player! Its also full of people who idle so it looks a lot more active than it really is. I also found the average age for the player base to be about 14, for a guy hitting 30+ i had little in common with these youngsters (the playground humour was quite tiresome after a while). All in all, I'd say not a bad MUD, average at best, would be more fun if it had a more mature player base. I wont continue with this MUD but recommend to teenagers.
I do love this mud, I have tried many different ones over the years and it is the best I have ever encountered, it is constantly evolving far beyond the original source code. New and exciting additions and improvements are always happening, where some muds go for quantity, Zebedee goes for quality, all the areas go through rigorous testing before being published on the game!!! Playerkilling is allowed, although it is balanced and rarely occurs, in all the years I have played I have rarely been a victim of another player, the game is a great challenge, there are many friends to be made, this is clearly evident in that some of the older players continue to log on to say hi even after they have stopped mudding and left to persue other interests. You do get the usual banter but it is amongst friends who have grown to know each other, and yes there are some who enjoy role playing their characters, but it is not compulsory, I have yet to see any legitimate new player treated badly, many of the players have a newbie helper character, and will actually swap and help a new player get started. I have yet to find any mud that has such an advanced newbie helper system, and dedicated newbie areas with so much detail and obvious effort, the admin have really tried to make the game as easy as possible to learn. Give it a try that is all I can say, there is so much to offer for those who are willing to put the effort into playing. Despite some of the recent bogus reviews that have been posted by a disgruntled cheater who was banned from the game, Zebedee is loved by many people and will be for a very long time to come. If you are tired of being overwhelmed by overcomplicated muds that try to hide lack of imagination with thousands of duplicate rooms and boring monsters, all I can say is try this one, it was one of the Original Muds and is still in existance today, unlike many others that have vanished forever more.
I have played this MUD for 2 months and I must say that the constant abusive shouts from both senior players and gods alike is quite horrendous, I have 2 young children who were interested in playing a mud and after seeing the filth both shouted and used in safe rooms in general chit chat theres just no way I'd let my kids near this disgusting atmosphere. Obviously with the mud being free you are going to get every degenerate misfit on the web logging in to abuse people as is the norm on that 'mud'. Take my advise and stay well clear of it, its just not worth it. In conclusion - a very unfriendly and vulgar experience, both gods and players are sarcastic and hostile and as for the coding, classes etc, typos and bugs in abundance. I'm sure people will tell you that this is untrue but if you log on and stay there for more than 5 minutes you will be witness to this filth.
It's a shame to sit and read reviews from people who havent enjoyed the game. I've been a Zebedee player for a good while now, in fact I started on the 13 February 1995, and I have got a lot out of the game. I've seen wave of people I've played with come and go as they do, and then return after years away, much to my delight. The key to zeb is the players around, and you get a fair mix. A small number of us choose to role-play characters, and this is met with a mixture of delight and dread. I get a lot of fun out of playing a character different to myself and I'm not the only one either. I must say I found it rather amusing when I started playing my necromancer in a friendly manner because I thought she was being horrible, and people complained that she wasn't being evil enough to them. How's that for irony. Zebedee has a lot going for it, with the support of an Eternal like Tamsyn (guy in charge) it's not surprising. There is, of course, room for development as with any MUD, but you can express an opinion or make suggestions and be heard. Also with the new areas due to come on line, that keep getting better and better and with more interaction between monsters and players,as well as a range of unique monsters that you have to see to believe, what more could you want?
Rubbish, unfriendly, hardly any players, poor admin. Everything about this game was bad, i was treated poorly and with contempt for some reason. Give it a miss, i know i wont miss it!
I'm leaving too, I'm a seasoned player and to say this mud has gone down the drain and dieing is an understatement! The guy running it is a petty minded idiot who is driving away new players with his snide superior attitude and his singular wit, which frankly lacks any true insight into humour (the guys a complete bell-end), needless to say hes a joke, and often the punchline of many a joke about his bug ridden mud.
I've just finished playing this MUD now after a month. I would recommend it to only seasoned MUD'ers as they are a couple of players atm going around killing you. It's in the rules when you start the game so it's up to you whether you can be bothered wrestling with this. This was the first MUD i'd played and the Player Killing really put me off as I'd have enough trouble with the in-game monsters. The MUD game though was very nice, good locations, nice quests to puzzle you and I found everyone friendly there. Just annoying that the PK'ers spoilt it in the end. Goodbye Zeb!
Not the friendliest of places at all really, the admin frequently swear at players, so its not adviced for younger players! Theres a lot of role playing which justs makes the place even more pathetic really is trying to ask a serious question if often met with sarcastic comments (in character). I wont be going back! Play a friendly mud, but you have to pay, the free ones are filled with idiots like this one!
There are many MUDs I have played that promised me "NEW and UNIQUE gameplay! TOTALLY original classes!" and none have quite lived up to the promise... until I tried Zebedee. Original monsters, original class playing, and dedicated (and sometimes fanatic) playerbase. Though the website and the administration has not successfully advertised or showcased it, the classes of Zebedee (I believe) are the main feature of this MUD. 1. The classes play differently, very differently! As soon as I saw a Necromancer, I was immediately hooked with the Necromancer class! (Wow, ACTUAL minions?! Not just some half-ass zombie whose purpose and existence is to steal XP?). Talk about original! Clerics are not just mages with healing, thieves are not just warriors with backstab and steal, necromancers are not just mages with "death" attached to their spells, and actual alchemists that cook their potions! Thieves that are SNEAKY, mages with terrible spells, clerics WITH NO mage spells (wow!), warriors that cannot cast spells (finally!), and necromancers with actual minions. 2. And the monsters, good god! The quality of some of these monsters are astounding. While Zebedee does have some generic kill monsters, there are plenty of legendary (and what I mean by that is that people have stories about them!) monsters that are not only fun to kill, but provide a unique and fresh challenge to the players. Here are just SOME examples of the monsters in Zebedee: The Demon Bel-Shammaroth - It is an eight-tentacled multi-room monster. The tentacles are not stationary either! They stretch, they retract, they move from room to room... Methuselah the All-Mother of Dragons - This dragon is one noisy b... *cough* witch. She calls summons help that will hunt you down from one end of the MUD to the other. Be careful! 3. Ah, yes. The player base. The "spodders." Mostly friendly, but all of them fiercely competitive. You get a whole range of players in Zebedee. The friendly ones, the sneaky ones, the ones that lie through their teeth, the backstabbers, the helpers, and some very knowledgeable ones that like to talk! Looking for something fresh? Get on Zebedee and try the necromancer class first. You will easily see the quality put into the game through this class.
...This is my first entry into this notebook I found on my person when i regained consiousness. Where to begin? I have a distant memory of some choice I made, of an empty, barren void...blackness. Then i slowly opened my eyes, shafts of light poured into what gradually focused into an old church. I stood there montionless and alone for the briefest of moments, where was I, who was I? That was when Herman appeared. Herman appeared, as if by magic and clambered onto my naked shoulder, he said he was to be my guide in this strange, unknown world. Feeling more confident I listened as Herman went into more detail about the world i was in - Zebedee, the realm where imagination meets reality. I grew bolder and my thirst for knowledge could not be quenched, Herman was patient and led me out into a town, a town I later learnt was called Cormallen, the main settlement of this place. Leading me through twisting streets and alleys we walked past smoke and the ringing of metal and came upon a large structure, a guild of warriors. It came back to me like a thunderbolt between the eyes! I had made this choice earlier, I was a warrior. The thought flooded me with great anticipation, I ventured inside to find a guardian watching me closely. So mighty was this man that I knew he could break me in half if I started any trouble so remained respectful. Herman instructed me to train an ability that would aid me in my adventures. After reading help notes that were dotted about i decided to train club. The club ability enabled me to find a suitable weapon from anywhere I was currently at. Upon wielding the large stick Herman instructed me that it was time to become experienced in combat, a necessity in this world of dangers. He led us beneath the towns streets, into dark and fetid sewers where he warned me was lair to many a dark beast. Feeling nervous but prepared I took a torch from a fixing on the wall as my human eyes could not pierce the gloom and proceded forward. ...It has been a day since my last entry, I have just healed my wounds in a pool that Dylmor led me to. However let me explain, shortly after entering the stinking sewers I came across several freshly slain corpses on the ground. They were the remains of giant worms, I nervously gripped my club and ventured onwards. I walked past more corpses until I heard the sounds of combat from the south, steel on flesh and hideous screams. Bracing myself I followed the sounds and came across a a fellow adventurer fighting a fanged mouse. The other adventurer was bleeding from several wounds but was bashing away with a strange glowing hammer at the creature. I don't know why I did it or where the courage came from but I roared a cry attacked...

What can I say about zebedee..... Well for a start its HUGE, there are certainly bigger out there but this just keeps on growing. There are dozens of mini-areas, townships, hidden locations just begging to be explored, quests to be done to facilitate advancement, weapons with special feature attacks for certain classes of monster. The permutations are almost endless and development continues. Most of the other reviews have detailed the interactive help guides, and the assistance that other players will give. But even with just the "newbie guide" you can start and grow any character very quickly. Within the starting area there is an area purely for players under level 5, if you explore and venture further there are 3 more areas with easy (but not too easy) to kill monsters. To help with healing there are magical pools and streams, drinking fountains that allow you to restore hit points and spell points without spending hard earned gold. The initial newbie area is the sewers currently with 3 levels with progressively harder monsters, as a monster gets harder so do the rewards for killing them, with better weapons, armour and money on their corpses. Should you not be able to use what they have to offer there is a store where you can sell the kit and buy something more appropriate to your player class. If you put together a party of similar level players the rewards can be multiplied by the ability to take on harder and bigger monsters, pooling your strengths to advance quickly. This is an excellent way to get allies for higher levels. There are player killers, they are relentless and dangerous but not invincible, if you cant take them on alone get your friends together and take them down together, spliting the higher xp you get for killing a player as well as the money from the bounty and their kit which can all be sold. As with anything practice makes perfectthe more you play the better you get, undoubtedly you will fall in love with one class, for me its thieves, with a close second place falling to necromancers. But log in, try it, see what you think, if you need help and I am on tell me, and I will see what I can do, if I am not about mail me from the post office and I am sure I will have a player close to your level to party with and assist. Regardless it will be something you will enjoy :)
All other MUDs SUCK!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ___________________________ ( )
Having once been an avid player of Muds, I was keen to find something that was easy to get started, but didn't bore me to death in no time, on my return to mudding. I eventually stumbled across Zebedee. The first thing that strikes you about Zebedee is it's friendliness when you log on. I know everyone says this, but it really is so here. Most players are happy to help with information, cash, or equipment, and will guide you through anything you need to know. There are 5 classes (mage, thief, warrior, cleric, and a "superclass" alchemists, that can pretty much combine the lot but require knowledge of the mud to make their own spells/abilities). There is also another, necromancer soon to be online. These classes all play very differently and there are some great spells/abilities to be had, including a couple of unique ones both online and in the pipeline. As you gain exp, you need to advance stats, level, and complete quests to finally attain "legend" status, which has several further levels and abilities with it. Now I don't know about you, but killing monsters can become boring after a while (usually just as you reach god level and you're bored with the game!!). But on the other hand, I don't enjoy killing people and don't enjoy being killed. This is where Zebedee has got it cracked. It offers a playerkiller-bounty system, where you acquire pk and bounty points according to whether you kill an innocent, or a nasty playerkiller!! This is also restircted by level, so you cant get level 19 players killing level 10 players for example. So what you ultimately end up with, is some people playerkilling for kicks, and some hunting them down for the bounty!!(you exchange corpses for bounties offered by players online varying from 1k to 200k for the corpse of a playerkiller). All heads of playerkillers ever killed are displayed permanently on spikes in Bounty Bills for all to see. As an aside, any low leveller killed can hire a legend character to kill their assailant if killed innocently, whereas legends cannot normally get involved in this. Numerous items lay around the mud to assist in pking/bountying incl.nets, scrolls, etc. not to mention spells and abilities. Partying is frequent and encouraged. Deaths do not cost mountains of experience, if a friendly cleric will resurrect you before you pray to come back to life. The map is HUGE and varied, as are the monsters. Lag is rare since its not overran with millions of people like some other muds. Further, there are some lovely touches, like an arena where 1 or 101 players can challenge the resident gladiators (10 in no.) and fight in the arena to the death, where no heals, etc. are available, whilst other players can sit and watch from the arena terraces. This is one of many nice aspects. I guarantee if you play Zebedee and give it a few hours, you WILL want return....

I hadn't been playing muds for very long so I was looking for a Mud that was easy to learn and had admin staff who were happy to answer my questions. Zebedee's help files are very detailed and easy to understand. When You create a new character you are guided through a few questions which are used to set up your race and class. Usesfull information about each class is given, ie. mages are often harder to play at lower levels than fighters. Once you have created your character you use the handy maps to find your away around the town. You will find your Guild on this map. Once you visit your guild you can learn new abilities or spells depending on your level. Once you are armed with your new skills its off to the newbie areas such as the farm or the newly improved sewers to gain some experience points (xp). While you slaughter poor vermin in the sewers to gain xp, you will meet other newbies. This would be a good time to start your own 'party. A party lets you create a 'clan' and share gold and xp for your joint kills. Its also great way of making new friends. As you gain more xp you will want to visit the 'adventurers guild' where you can advance your level and fighting stats. The higher your level the more lethal spells and fun abilities you can learn. You can also wield more dangerous weapons and wear better armour. Zebedee has a nice selection weapons and armour (including unque kit) which can be bought or sold from the towns local shop. Now I'm going up a few levels I'm starting to investigate Zebedee's difefrent realms. There are many to choose from and each realm often contains a quest. If you complete a quest you will gain quest points (used to advance to higher levels) and sometimes you might receive some armour, a weapon, gold or experiece points (xp). To round up my experience of the Zebedee mud i'd say its the ideal start for someone who is new to mudding. Its size is quite large but it has lots of newbie areas where you can learn the basics of mudding before you advance onto the more dangerous areas. There is a new newbie helper (computer player) who helps you at first. But once you have the basics I find it best not to use him and instead ask some of the older players. Depending on what time of the day you connect to Zebedee, determines how many people will be logged on. There are normally about 15 to 20 people on when I play (at night). So thats my experience of Zebedee. I have nothing really bad to say. I enjoy playing and have made a few friends. Why not give it a visit and I might see you there.
A really friendly MUD where everyone is always willing to help newbies. The quest system can be infuriating. However after time you appreciate the quests as they force you to learn more about the world. Player killing is allowed but by far the most enjoyable aspect is hunting down those damned pesky player killers, preferably by creating a player killer party. Overall my point is simply this, come and play, you will definately not be disappointed!
Zeb is a great MU* you can really sink your teeth into, great rooms and weapons can be found anywhere but Zeb has the added benefit of great people and personality. You can always find someone willing to help newbies or even party to help more mature players. One word of caution though..this MU* is highly addictive... Once your on Zeb you wont want to leave. Hope to see you there. Raistlen
zebdee is kewl mud, newbies has great tutorials and areas when they can lear about game quickly. u can addict to zebedee very fast and then spend 5 nights in week to play :) pkilling is allowed so hars like quicky can berserk u :) but first u will meet naskha:) good opponent for start:) join us and beat pkillers!
Iv'e been spodding on 'Zeb' since back in 97, and I can tell you now that this sometimes underated old mud is extremely fun to play on and log on to. Whether you decide to form a thief/fighter party to wipe out a hulking ancient dragon or wade through hordes of monsters with clerics and mages - simply 'playing' the game is fantastic fun. What I enjoy most however is the balanced player-killing system we have here, where you can simply berserk and chase a target or use well timed meteors and hold spells to incinerate your foe. Plus I know that a new mud can seem 'huge and strange', that it will take you ages to learn it. - Not so on Zeb, newbie areas and guides have been designed to get you playing straight away and the players are MORE than happy to help you. And I can tell you now, there is nothing like the feeling of getting your first legend up and earning respect (and requests for kit :), from other players. So if you haven't logged on yet - do so! Q.
